If this is true then WE and the EU are essentially at war with Russia. This is like Iran backing Hamas, Hezbollah and Houthis as they successfully slam Israel. Where are those three proxy fighters now. Ukraine is fixing to get leveled like Gaza and if EU steps in then Russia cuts loose.

Putin cannot pay for a protracted conventional war as the economics of such is what crashed the former Soviet Union. Something big has to happen over there. No way Russia just lays down.

Putin started the war because he didnt want Ukraine aligned with NATO. But the fact that he attacked them proved that they needed to be aligned with NATO.

No. This was at the Munich conference before Russia invaded. She also said they would sanction Russia if they invaded.
She even had her typical word salad about being enthusiastic about the enthusiasm.
And she was probably the first one to state that if Russia invaded, it would be unprovoked. While then threatening sanctions on Russia saying our commitment to NATO is iron clad and we won’t accept any aggression towards a NATO country, which Ukraine was not.
Promising Zalensky the support of the US. All before Russia invaded.

Russia made this crystal clear in both the prelude to and the aftermath of the 2008 NATO Bucharest Summit. There was no mention of Finland, or Estonia, or Latvia, or Mars. The two red-line countries were Georgia and Ukraine. THAT IS WHY Russia didn't invade Finland when they said they wanted to join NATO.

No it’s not. You could ride a bicycle from St Petersburg to Helsinki. Karelia was the main axis of advance for the soviets in 1940 into Finland and its mostly farmland.
Finland and Sweden joining NATO absolutely destroys the muh NATO arguement.

No it’s not.
The Karelian Isthmus is a navigable cross if conducted methodically and unopposed by the host country, Russia. If attempted by an invader, it's a death zone. Similar, though to a far worse extent, to what Russians faced in Finland proper.
