Would be best if Russians just off Putin. That would solve the problem. But I think they are too brain dead in Russia to do this.

Who do you suggest try that move and what’s the over/under on the lives of their family?

You are absolutely wrong. Also there are no mountains as you claim. IF NATO wanted to invade Russia they’d be in St Petersburg in a couple of days. Of course NATO has no intention of invading Russia and Putin knows this.
Don’t forget the Baltic Sea is now a NATO lake.

Not brave. Too scared to martyr themselves for a cause.

The Chinese probably have containers full of drones sitting on the land they bought beside our military bases. We couldn't stop it. It's probably how they kick this off. Remember that 30,000 guys they walked across our border during the Biden years?
Yeah...
Yeah...

Finland and Sweden joining NATO absolutely destroys the muh NATO arguement.
Not really. Russia has considered the Sevastopol naval base a critical asset since the 1780's and they weren't willing to cede that to NATO. With that history, Ukraine was always going to be a trigger for war and everybody involved had to know that.

As the potential for naval conflict in the Black Sea looms larger than in past months, it is necessary to know some of the history of past naval conflicts in that maritime space and the centrality of Sevastopol to any Russian naval effort in the Black Sea region. Despite being captured by foreign powers multiple times since the 19th century, Sevastopol has remained central to the Russian strategic position in the Black Sea region since its founding as the Black Sea fleet base in 1783.

In every conflict Russia has fought in the region since the 1780s, it has always fought to retain its Sevastopol base. Given its history, the Russians will not likely give up this strategic location without a tough fight.

You close enough to a base to id the location of containers near our bases? If so, call up the DefDept and let them know. I'll be damned if the Chinese are going to keep us from snooping around in our own country.
On my drive back from Austin today I did see several Union Pacific trains and hundreds and hundreds of containers which may have drones or fentanyl in them.

To the point, actually, I do suggest they overthrow the whole corrupt lot of them. Russia is a miserable country.

Russia is just doing the obvious after Obama and Hillary sought to overtake Ukraine because of money. And Vlad pushed back, he will conquer this idiot now in full, or start WW3.

I’ve met and liked run of the mill Russian citizens. The area we were in was very similar to SLa with a lot of fishing and hunting. The people there were salt of the earth, hard working and kind.

You forgot the area north of Lake Ladoga Karelia is much bigger than the isthmus.
Considering Russias performance in Ukraine what makes you think they could stop Finland alone much less a combined NATO attack via Finland. All academic of course since we all know NATO won’t attack without very serious provocation.
My point has always been that if NATO expansion was really a reason for Russias invasion of Ukraine than they lost when Sweden and Finland joined.

That’s not true, either. The lady we hired for our tours in Moscow was a history professor at the university. She lowered her voice to a whisper every time we asked a question about Putin. The average Russian citizen is poor, even with a law degree from a US university. They are just trying to survive life. Your judgement of the average citizen is a bit unfair.

Which means they live miserable lives in Moscow and out on the steppes. Miserable people. Probably the highest rate of drunks in the world. But again, the women can be very beautiful. I think we should offer them asylum.
