I have a cousin who I’ve mentioned here before. Poor thing, she’s pushing 50, no kids, no relationship, gifted our great aunt’s home several years ago. Radical leftist, loves Beshear, loves trans, took her nieces to a pride parade in Louisville.
She texts me awhile back and told me she’s fleeing to Canada to escape this prison. I wanted to ask her if Canadian healthcare will pay for her diverse collection of psych meds.

So she said she's not allowed to work in Canada when there on a legal visa... but she fled the "fascist" country that allows legal immigrants to work while on visa.
She says it's ok that she doesn't have access to Canadian Healthcare services while there on a visa, but she fled the "fascist" country that allows the same healthcate access to ALL citizens and legal visa holders.
She moved to one of the most expensive and populated regions in heavily socialized Western Canada with only a meager savings, no potential to work, and with the understanding that simple rent prices are exorbitant, after leaving a "fascist" country where she worked, had possessions she could liquidate and had relatively competitive rent and housing options and availability even in the second most expensive major city in America.
I hope she eventually gets Canadian citizenship and realizes that even Canadian citizens have extremely protracted waiting periods for their nationalized Healthcare services. "Oh, you twisted your knee and need an MRI because it hurts too bad to work? Cool. Our knee surgeons are great, and we'll happily send you to one. But first you need to get an ultrasound to determine if you need the MRI, and there's a 28-month waiting list for our ultrasound clinic. See you in July of 2028! Good luck until then."
