Because women can’t beat men at either of them. With chess it’s simply because, although there is not much difference in the average natural intelligence of men and women, their is a huge disparity in the incidence of genius, with men having far more than women.
With pool I’d guess it’s like Scrabble, men are just willing to work harder at it.

Lol. I know women who can make a ball on 75% of 8 ball breaks. And "english" has zero to do with being male or female.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not implying you can't shoot. You probably can.
I don't use a glove either. And I have never lost to anyone one on one who does.
But I have very nice cues. With carbon fiber shafts. I have maple and Keilwood shafts too. But CF is the tit's.

I've learned it's not even necessary anymore to cosplay in feminine attire. Just tell the hateful bigots you are "gender fluid" and right now, your brain says you're a woman, trapped in a lumberjack's body. Then just claim your trophy & masculinity after the match.

And what is motivating your comment? I agree that the difference between men and women in pool is likely minor. But.....WE ARE NOT THE SAME. On principle, it is still obnoxious for dudes to infiltrate womens' sports.

I understand your thought but it reflects a misinterpretation of the problem. In fact looking at it from purely the point of view of competitiveness misses the entire point and it's why liberals try the obfuscate whether or not there's a competitive difference
The real point is that for decades women sought to have spaces that were for them to do their thing. Competitive environments were almost entirely the province of man. And they formed groups dedicated for just women and Sports competitions dedicated for just women.
And all is well. Men did their thing and women did their thing. Now suddenly a bunch of mentally ill people with penises are doing what regular men could never do. Namely completely destroy women's spaces.
The sad part is the women that fought hardest for women spaces are also for the most part completely in the bag liberals so they are dumbfounded as to what to do and are letting themselves be run over. So sometimes it's hard for me to have sympathy because most of the girls getting fricked over are voting for exactly the people doing the fricking

Except women also wanted the option to compete against men in men's sports. I'm not in favor of men competing against women, just thought it was worth pointing out that women always wanted it both ways.
