Tulsi makes move on marijuana

As I predicted some months ago, one of the D candidates has spoken on ending federal marijuana prohibition. Tulsi Gabbard announced in a facebook campaign promo she wishes to do so-before any of her 20 Democratic opponents or President Trump has. This has potential to be a mainstream play and get her ahead in the field, in my opinion. With over half of the states scaling back or altogether ending restrictions on cannabis for medical or recreational use, the measure isn't anywhere near as controversial as it would have been 30-40 years ago, but without a ton of message or substance for anyone on the left to run on (some wonder if they're even capable of it in this day and age) I had a feeling someone was going to play the card and now we'll see if it registers in her favor to some limit.

Good more freedom. Blows my mind the Republicans aren't running wild with this issue.

But as much as small gov conservatives say they're all about more freedom... they're only for more freedom that fits to their beliefs

Trump will promise this in the campaign. I've been saying that for a while.

Guy literally says something on Twitter every hour, can't throw a "Hey congress, where's my legalizing weed? " tweet in there?

Good move, but the DNC decides who is “ahead in the field”.

She should toss in putting the drinking age back to 18.
Youth vote would flock to her.

She isn’t getting donations from pharmaceuticals yet....

TRUMP needs to get out in front of this issue and LEGALIZE IT!

quote:Yeah I'm a bit surprised too, I said if they did, it'd be a total squash. I guess they're confident in running on the economy and painting the left as a bunch of loonies (point taken) and just don't want to be the party that's associated with it?

edit: Soon as Trump announces he'll decriminalize it'll probably be all but over

I think it would be a good move on Trump’s part answer that question in a national debate. Send the bill and I will sign.

What kind of nonsense is this?
Every restriction in your life is put there by parents, teachers, judges, legislators, etc strictly based on what they believe is the best way to orchestrate human behavior
Stop signs, red lights, rape laws, even which sign of the damn road you drive on are all based on someone believing its the safer way to do something
And btw, not allowing marijuana is much, much safer than freely allowing it. Just like requiring stop signs at intersections, as opposed to not forcing anyone to stop
