It's supposed to be 23 degrees with a 13 mph wind and the average age in DC is about 77. They'll all die in those conditions

Good thinking. No way the Secret Service could climb up on slanted roofs to check them

We could never be that fortunate

So why are they not moving the entire Inauguration indoors? You can't say you are moving the swearing in ceremony indoors because of cold weather but the rest of the Inauguration will remain outdoors.

Only moving the swearing in ceremony indoors because of cold weather does not make sense.

President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration is expected to be moved indoors Monday due to dangerously cold temperatures projected in the nation’s capital, multiple sources with direct knowledge of the plans told CNN.
Plans are underway to have Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance sworn into office inside the US Capitol Rotunda, the sources said. Discussions regarding where to hold the inaugural parade and other celebrations are still underway. However, Trump’s team has been in talks to potentially hold some of the festivities at the Capital One arena, where Trump will host a rally on Sunday.
Stop being fake news. Even CNN is doing better than you

Well - it is predicted to be below freezing in DC that day. High of 24

High will be -8 (wind chill -24) where I live.

I'm sure he still wants to speak to the crowd for his address.

They have had 9 degrees before for inaugurations. People are used to a couple of feet of snow on the ground and cold temps.
But I think something is going on. A threat. Bongino spoke about something not being secured.
We had drones no one could get near or shoot down flying willy nilly for weeks.
Common sense.
I checked Charlie Kirks X and I didn't see anything about former Presidents not going like the other thread.

They've also moved them inside before. You're overthinking it.
If there was a serious threat, they wouldn't be having the crowd out there.

That is because they are going. They are skipping the lunch afterwards.

They are saying because of cold weather. That's BS. Something is going on

I have no problem either way. I just find it weird to use the cold weather excuse if they are still going to have some activities outside. They allow us to attend Playoff Football games in Negative below temperatures. 24 degrees doesn't seem like dangerously cold weather

I've heard it may be the coldest inauguration on since 1985.

Instead of having them outside for an hour, it will be less than that. The wind is probably playing a factor too.
Seems pretty inconsequential to me.

Man, he must be a psychic. He predicted an event at a heavily populated event involving political parties that hate one another.

You didn't address Outdoor Football Games being attended for 3 plus hours in negative temperatures. That's ok, but 24 degrees is to Cold?

It's going to be the coldest inauguration in decades.
I won't assume anything is going on unless he (and the invited foreign leaders) miss other events. Hell, it might just be in deference to them. You don't invite your allies and your rivals over to sit them in an Arctic Blast.

One has nothing to do with the other, which is why I ignored it.
