I only asked why Trump was supporting such a big-spending bill that continued with major deficit spending.

That is nowhere near "TDS" especially since so many MAGA diehards ( including multiple posters in this very thread) thought they were getting a bill that addressed our deficit/debt.

So your definition of "leftist" is "wants major reduction in federal spending so we have a surplus to address our debt"?

I think you're the only person on earth who associates fiscal responsibility with leftism.

Bond market applying pressure now to Congress after Moody's downgrade. 30yT back above 5. Time for them to actually get serious and govern - spending /deficit reduction has to happen. If not, 8% mortgages incoming.

Hmmmm, after seeing all the negative comments and then opening the link, I am trying to figure out if the link is accurate, or the negaMagas are accurate?

From the link, pg. 12. Read and determine for yourself. I'm just quoting the link, nothing else.

Sec. 110102. No tax on overtime.
Current Law: Not applicable.
Provision: This provision creates an above-the-line deduction for overtime premium pay during
a given taxable year. Qualified overtime compensation means overtime compensation paid to
an individual required under Section 7 of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 that is in excess
of the regular rate (as used in such section) at which such individual is employed. Additionally,
taxpayers who are highly compensated employees or with earned income exceeding the dollar
amount in effect under IRC section 414(q)(1)(B)(i) are ineligible to receive the deduction. A
work-eligible Social Security number is required in order to claim the deduction. The deduction
is allowed from tax years 2025 through 2028.

Have your kids said thank you yet for the trillions deeper hole he's digging them, despite all of the "fraud and abuse" savings?

I mean he should single out the no tax on SS, tips and Ot in one bill. I would really like to see who would vote against it.

Currently the bill only contains a $0 NFA tax on suppressor transfers but can be amended at the Rules Cmte.

Wahoo! Saved me $250.

Something is better than nothing.

Notice how they only touch certain parts of the Green New Deal. There must be a whole lot of money being thrown around co2 sequestration.

It’s almost like they like the spending just like Democrats but what the idiot Republicans fail to realize or maybe the do and don’t care, is the Democrats use the money to further their agenda.
