yeah, I think there is a kind of “test” going on, but maybe not the chess move people think.
Posts like that are almost perfect loyalty filters - they’re a little over the top on purpose. If you roll with it, you’re signaling “I’m on the team no matter what”. If you hesitate, you look like you’re hedging and a squish.
The interesting part is that the more uncomfortable or absurd the post feels, the stronger the signal becomes. It’s not really about convincing anyone he’s Jesus - it’s about showing who’s willing to back him even when it gets weird.
That doesn’t necessarily expose “weakness” so much as it reveals who treats politics as identity first and persuasion second. Different game.
