Well I’m sure the liberals will have something negative to say about this and how it’s so bad

You do know it’s racist, right?

Or would kill the environment.

Or something.

’m kind of in the same boat. I don’t know what it is about this last time change, I cannot get used to it.

When it’s 11:00 at night I’ll look down on my watch thinking it’s 7:30-8:00 and it’s Friggin 11pm

For some reason I just can’t get used to it this time

How old are you? Seems like the time change only became a huge problem when a certain generation got old and was still around to complain abut everything.

If we stay with daylight savings time and get rid of "standard time", won't it be dark longer in the morning in the winter??

I hate this dark morning bullshite, so I'm assuming its what he's wanting to keep. It shouldnt be dark at 7:30am in the spring.

I believe so. What he is saying he wants to be permanently is said to be the worst thing for our health. The sun is our natural alarm clock, and our eyelids are naturally thin enough for it to go thru enough to naturally wake us up.

I hate dark mornings

What if I told you daylight stays the same no matter if the clock changes?

It sounds like he is pushing for an end to standard time in favor of daylight savings time. The correct position,

split the difference and change it a half hour in between the two.

that way you piss everyone off equally.

Changing the clocks is actually the best way to keep the times more in tune with the sun. Everybody hates it but it makes sense.

Who cares? I think 85% or more of the country would throw a party and all get along for a day or two if this happened, regardless of which time reality was chosen.

Standard time. People in MANY areas will care a lot when they realize it's dark at 0800 in the morning with yearly DST. Just so some hardlegs can play a round of golf in the winter, or do whatever they think they can with an "extra hour of light." TERRIBLE idea. If you want DST, do it b/t Memorial Day and Labor Day.

If they go to permanent DST we’ll have to mow year’round.

Yep, we’ve always had time changes because sunrise and sunset have always changed throughout the year.

If we were using sundials and older folks didn’t have to worry about changing the clock on the wall, would it be such a problem?

I agree. I actually just hate the last change that was made that shortened the time period. It was getting light out before 7am and then we sprung forward. Stupid.

I don't like to see kids waiting for a bus in the dark. Permanently changing to DST is stupid. Those people who work early go to bed in daylight, the people who really get screwed are the ones living near the time zone lines. They tried this before and it was so unpopular they changed it back.

Drugs and alcohol does this also. Quit using drugs and getting drunk. You will be good to go.

All people care about is daylight later in the evening. Which I believe is actually permanent daylight savings. Not eliminating daylight savings. If you go the other way people will go apeshit.

All I know is that in the 100+ days of Summer, when Sunset doesn’t come until 8:30PM or later, I never think “we need more daylight hours.”

I forgot that the date of the Fall time change did get moved, and that might have affected our perceptions a little.
