This is so fricking stupid. I’ve seen shite on Facebook comparing Kapernick to Rosa fricking Parks. Kiss my arse. This isnt some patriot standing against injustice. This is an entitled assclown that suddenly felt moved to make a statement when he was minutes away from getting cut. And the only reason the 49ers didn’t cut him immediately is because of this.
I'm aware that his work situation was "on the rocks" in terms of what NFL players face.
I think the pushback from the Left has another reason. Some people honestly feel (including myself) that there is a double standard regarding what's considered patriotic and who does something seen as controversial. Patriotism is what you do for your country indiscriminately. It's more than just flags and fireworks.
Other professionals be it Hollywood socialites or popular tv personalities do crazy things all the time that could be considered disrespectful to some groups. But conservatives have tendency to ignore the plights of "out groups" ( ie groups that arent white). It appears that when a Black person does something, it's the worse thing ever. And some of same people (not accusing you personally) will happily defend someone burning a cross or waving a Confederate and/or Nazi flag.
I'm not saying his approach was the best way to go about. I'm simply saying regardless of what his reasons were, as an American he has a right to Express himself as long as its nonviolent.
If you want to financially punish whomever, go ahead. I honestly doubt the NFL or Nike are going to close because of this.

Although i somewhat agree with him. He needs to focus on running the country and not the nfl or nike.

Volod you generally seem like a good dude. Colin Kapernick is doing this for himself. Not for his people, his country, the oppressed, the sisters of the poor, or anyone else.
I truly believe if the MLK of the 60s were told of what poses for protest and civil rights today he would be appalled. Read some of his speeches. How many black folks today have actually read the Dream speech in its entirety?

Yes and they are continually protected by the left. Why isn’t Weinstein a bigger story? How much deeper do the sex crimes in Hollywood go? Yet it’s almost like it never happened.

Context? Conservatives overwhelmingly donate more of their time and money to charitable causes than liberals. It’s a fact that’s been well documented. Apparently conservatives spend more of their time doing things to help rather than sky screaming about it.

Poor guy is so incredibly delusional. I'm actually starting to feel bad for Trump. There are a lot of people in this country who have all their hopes tied to him and it's going to be really sad when it all comes Crashing Down
K, keep us posted. What a dope!

Why are you worried about what he thinks, unless you think he is right. He isn’t telling anyone what to do, he is making obvious observations that any sane person can see.

You baws better dump your Nike stock.
I've read several articles that said Nike stock lost 3% but Yahoo News' headline this morning was Nike stock being gobbled up by Millenials.
My questions:
1. How do reporters find out the age of people who purchased stock yesterday?
or
2. Did Yahoo News just make it up?

The issue has multiple layers. Most blacks are disadvantaged, but it's not really racial. Its financial and professionally social.
His speeches are very to the point, but I believe elements of Malcolm were right as well. Not the Violence, but that Blacks really needed to work on their own communities and businesses and not just rely on Whites. Integrate as full citizens AND continue to improve ourselves.
There are actual instances of racism, but this case with Kap is not one of them.

This is where I completely disagree with the Left. Those women slept with men to raise their status. It was seedy, yeah, but they choose to do it. Making celebrities out to be victims when they voluntary participated in a crime was disgusting. It actually insults REAL rape victims.

It's not all conservatives just like it's not all liberals. The sad part is the older I get, it becomes so obvious that both parties are distracting us.

Buy the dip for a stock that is up 50% in a year. It's not rocket science.

But Nike stock continues to trade near its 52 week high and has risen in day trading for the last two days. Why would anyone dump Nike stock?

You are joking I hope. A company that has a 60 percent increase in share price in the last year, announces a controversial new ad campaign. Shares immediately drop 8 percent. This is exactly what it feels like to sell high.

I suspect Phil Knight is happy.
He can get his slave labor kicking into overdrive. Laugh all the way to the bank. I really don't care about this issue anymore.....it's really become an issue of mass distraction.
Gets Trump a lot of traction from his base so he can keep fighting the culture war while he wins the economic war
