The reason why he took zero charitable contribution on his return in 2020 is because he had negative adjusted gross income that year. A taxpayer's charitable contribution deduction is limited to 60% of your AGI. So, even though he contributed his salary, he could not take a deduction for it, which makes him even more MAGnAnimous in his giving.

He also got smoked on his loss of SALT deductions that was a result of the bill he signed. He took a personal hit on taxes. Yet people here will call him a grifter.
