I'm an actual lawyer, I understand legal concepts just fine. Both decisions seem reasonable.

My point was that the "criminal investigation" he is under is an obvious political sham. While he is in the most technical sense, under "criminal investigation", in any real sense he isn't given how stupid it is.

The posters on this board seem to have exceptionally rustled jimmies at the moment.

To make all of you feel better, note that this will take time to sort out. It'll be probably over a year before these documents ever get in the hands of the Manhattan DA.

From CNN's Jeffrey Toobin:

Yeah, Roe doesn't just conflict with this, it nukes it off of the face of the earth:

Not really. Only the most irrational partisan could have convinced himself that Trump had absolute immunity from all subpoenas. Furthermore, in both of these decisions the cases have been remanded for consideration of additional issues. Nothing will be final until well after the November election.

I doubt it. The hatred the Dems have for him will continue after he is out of office and they want to ensure no other citizen outside their little cabal ever tries to run for President again.

We'd save so much money by doing away with congress and let the SCOTUS rule on POTUS orders. It's what they want any way. Gravy train without having to make any controversial laws.
