It's an investigation, relax. He hasn't been charged with anything.

After the Mueller debacle, that is easier said than done.

Wonder what ever happened to Hunter Biden's financial disclosure?

This investigation is justified, but people here are more concerned about their partisan echo chamber.
Thoughts on Hillary smashing phones and deleting server data that were under subpoena?

Basically only because under Justice Dept. guidelines, Trump can't be charged while in office. The facts and pleadings clearly indicated he was an unindicted co-conspirator. The whole point of the SCOTUS ruling today is that while you can't charge him, you can investigate him. Theoretically, a prosecutor can do all the leg work and be ready to file charges the day he leaves office.

I’m not reading this whole thread but this really shouldn’t be a partisan issue, we need a clear ruling from SCOTUS on the extent Congress can subpoena personal information from a President, but I think it’s fair to punt this until after the election, just so long as we do eventually get a clear rule.

Maybe I'm just stupid but I genuinely don't understand what all the fuss is about if you're a Trump supporter.

Is there anything else to this beyond "I know he probably did something bad and I don't want him to get caught"?

The problems are:

- it is partisan

- a clear rule will be selectively utilized

How long until Biden’s financial documents are subpoenaed to look for transfers from his crackhead son to him?

SCOTUS and Roberts would rule the exact opposite if this case was heard tomorrow.

Sure but it cuts both ways. A GOP House with a Dem as POTUS is a more likely scenario in the future anyway.

bullshite

The GOP has never investigated constantly on one farce after the other that had no basis in fact.

Clinton's impeachment was real.
Benghazi was real.

They barely moved on the tax scandal with lois lerner. They barely did anything on Fast and Furious. Both of those were more impeachable than that bullshite about the phone call.

If you don’t realize the Dems have the advantage in the EC while the GOP has the advantage in the house then you don’t know that much about politics.

As usual you’re getting way too emotional.

We need a ruling from SCOTUS on what’s allowable when Congress decides to investigate POTUS. I have no problem punting until after Trump is no longer up for re-election.

That’s irrelevant since the rally cry of the left is Trump bad, and Biden’s not Trump. You will do as your told and vote Biden.

President Trump tried to pretend to be upset about it but his body language would allow it. There’s nothing wrong with his taxes. He is dragging it out for maximal effect.

Leftists are happy with the supreme court this time and it’s gonna be hard to invalidate other supreme court decisions and validate this one

You're right! Thankfully, I don't have to hold the evidence to support this assertion. That evidence was already provided to the Manhattan DA when a subpoena was issued!

Thanks for admitting you don’t know anything about anything.

Pretty sure it’s well understood any similar charges for campaign finance violations against Trump wouldn’t fly
