"About 1:30pm there were shots fired & a call made by secret service to police after the secret service saw the muzzle of the gun pushed through the fence/bushes. Secret service was a couple of holes on the golf course ahead of Pres Trump. The shooter had a clear line of sight of Pres Trump. Someone saw the shooter running to his vehicle. They got the vehicle on I95. In the bushes was found an AK47 & a GoPro camera, on the fence to video what he was doing, among other items. FBI is now in charge & a suspect, Ryan Wesley Routh, is in custody."

Born in NC, lives in Hawaii, went to try and sign up to fight in Ukraine, and then ends up in FL.
So it is not a random crazy that has no idea what he is doing beyond the voices from his Corn Flakes told him to do it, but someone that planned to be there and showed legitimate thought in setting up his ambush. So its going to be hard to write this off as "motive unknown", especially with him in custody.
