Good deal. We have the Camry plant in Georgetown KY and it not only hires for the assembly line plant but has a whole string of satellite suppliers in KY. We have Ford truck plant and the Corvette plant in KY.
This is a great deal not only for Texas but for the US.

The factory will probably staffed by Mexicans who send their remittances back to ol' Mexico unless we close the border and ensure Toyota only hires American citizens.

It’s not new that Toyota has been moving their plants to the US. Broke ground in 2003 with a $8.3 billion investment in a San Antonio plant. It builds trucks and SUVs.
In 2021 and 2022 they invested $10 billion more in Texas and now they are moving their Tacoma to the plant in San Antonio
They invested $2.5 billion in 2022 in North Carolina. It was Toyota’s first battery plant in the US
We have had a plant I Missouri that builds Toyota parts for around 35 years.
They have been building the Camry in Kentucky since 1988, Tennessee since 2005, a plant in WV open in 1996, and a few more.
