See, this is what I voted for, Republicans should run ads about this in key Senate races
This is the issue that energizes a large part of the conservative base and wins with independent voters

I would be pissed if he did work with them. That is something the Bushes would do, eff them. They tried to destroy Kavanaugh and the Orange Magnificent

Kudos to Trump for nominating Judges that match his ideology, rather than that of the sitting Senators for a given State or Circuit.

It's a weird tradition, if it were really a tradition, given these courts can affect the entire nation not just the states the circuit covers.

It's a stupid tradition,
FIFY - it ought to be the whole region; which means input from Alaska & Utah as well (yes, and NV, WA, OR, etc)
I can at least understand the tradition on judges that just affect that state (would still ignore the tradition for states like Cali though)

Yep. Reward him for the KAV vote and have a Rep. pick up his Senate seat.

Agreed, particularly given the fact that so many cases are "shopped" to the 9th circuit if it involves a liberal ideology.
Before we get too excited, the circuit and district courts are still VERY left leaning. Bush did not push nearly hard enough for conservatives and then eight years of Obama...there is A LOT of work to do and Im not certain even six years of Trump can even it out given the potential number of retiring judges.
Between written and oral arguments, the supreme court only hears about 120 cases (I believe) a year. 99.5% of the federal cases never get there.

Both sides have definitely found that out since Nov. of 2008.

Is there a number of how many more seats Trump has to fill before they are all filled? I know it’s been said that these seats need to be filled before the mass arrests can begin.
