If we leave it would inhibit our ability to defend assets in the gulf.
That's the thing people don't get. We're not in a position of strength. We've locked ourselves into a lot of bad outcomes.
Some don't see it while it's obvious to most

U sound like a dumb political figure
What assets? If we leave, we are taking our toys home.
We have enough of our own oil and now Venezuela too. My personal belief is we also have been stalling making sure others sources were developed.
frick that sandbox. Let them all fight

Iran’s military has been destroyed. It has no air force, no navy, and no air defenses.
We have obliterated Iran’s uranium enrichment plants, its uranium mills, and its uranium hexafluoride conversion facility, as well as the secret bomb-making workshops in Parchin that Iran would never allow the IAEA to inspect.
We have destroyed most of Iran’s ability to manufacture drones and ballistic missiles.
All of those things can easily be replaced. Not overnight but they can be replaced. So everything we have accomplished doesn't mean jack shite unless the job is finished.

Look at my post history I’m a Trump supporter die hard. He isn’t perfect by no means but I back him because the opposition is the devil. That being said Trump has fricked this entire deal up. Bomb those fricks until they beg us to stop. Period day night 24/7. This could have ended in the first two weeks but he’s so worried about the “deal”. And it’s turned everything into a shite show. They want to back out the deal. Bomb them and Lebanon into rubble or until they say mercy. As a Trump supporter this is his biggest failure and it’s not even close.

Why wouldn’t we be able to walk away from the war we started ?
Posted on 6/20/26 at 9:23 pm to Timeoday
All that to say Iran will forever and always control the SoH.

If we can track every one of their IRGC members like Trump said we can, and even read their name tags, why don't we just create 100,000 cheap drones drop them out of the sky and target each and every one of them and blow them up. That seems a lot cheaper than sending huge bombs and missles and aircraft carriers and such to do the job.

We could have created a mou without military involvement.
No lost lives, no interruption of the soh, oil shock with resultant hit to our economy.
Trump miscalculated and now it’s a matter of how he can exit while saving face
Iran seems to be onto that fact

Umm, they seem to be holding the world’s oil supply and economy hostage with a few drones and underwater mines. Unless the Strait of Hormuz is kept open and the price of oil stays down, I think Iran and the libs will take this as a win.
They can do that for a while until they realize their oil also isn't going anywhere. And they don't produce anything else since we wiped out their missile production facilities.

Keep seeing this obvious lie posted.

If it collapses on November 5 because the Iranians didn’t carry out their part of it, so be it. America will be back to war without the restraint of another election.

Then why haven't we walked away?

How does walking away keep the strait open?
The US would "walk away" from the MOU, take out the IRGC, take Kharg Island, then leave the spoils of a country called Iran without a military to its neighbors.

The us can walk away from any deal at anytime, Always have always will

Has Okinawa or Hiroshima recovered? What are you trying to say?

The anti-Trumpsters are howling and grinding their teeth. Ready to pounce on President Trump accusing him of surrender.
In spite of the fact Iran has agreed to cease their obsession with obtaining a nuclear bomb. And they agreed to turn over their enriched uranium. FACT - an Islamic Iran armed with a nuke was not a good thing for the world. Iran armed with a nuke changes..........everything.
Things are settling back down. The price of a gallon of gasoline in my hometown continues to drop.Price is currently at $ 3.11/gallon. Plus, a gallon of milk is going down as well - near $ 3.00/gallon. (hint: I drink a lot of milk)
We still have an awful lot of things that need to be fixed in this country. Our pals Barook Hussein Obama and Joe Biden left this country in an economic, spiritual, and cultural malaise. I believe when people of all ethnic, race, gender and ecnomic status come to realize President Trump is really working to improve their individual lives - they will come to realize the great treasure we have in this man. He may be flawed, but then so am I.
It's Fathers Day today. We lost so many Dads on the beaches of Normandy and in the jungles of Viet Nam. I was privileged one Sunday afternoon to hear the stories of bravery and sacrifice by a couple of WWII Combat Veterans. Stories of incredible bravery under fire. They've all crossed over to the other side. We owe it to them to make life better for their children and grandchildren.
President Trump is a fixer. He fights for us. I like that.

Has anything really changed? How is it that Iran apparently still controls the straight?

I am trying to say you can get first downs all day long, but you have to score. Just stop advancing the ball before the finish line and doesn't mean shite how far the drive was.
Trump keeps bragging about how much we were winning in the war with Iran. Which is all one hundred percent true. But when the head coach punts on 1st and t0 at their 10 yards line, it was all for nothing.
That said, I don't pretend to know if Trump is punting. I just know he called the dogs off and he keeps calling time outs instead of running a play.
He keeps yelling across the field that his is preparing the punting team... repeatedly. He may not do it. But that is what he has said he is doing. IDK I don't pretend to know.
When he runs a reverse and scores I will cheer and relish in the great misdirection. But if he actually punts... then the hell with punting on first down.
