Why can’t we rent some B2 bombers to Israel for a week and sell them the GBU-57’s? They’d knock out Iran nuclear capabilities and go back to normal. Let the damn Persian ragheads figure out their leadership themselves.
I think there is a very reasonable chance that this is essentially what is happening. But my guess is that the WH believes Iran may respond against US interests directly in the aftermath, hence the war footing.
But I also think this is clear posturing, rally the war wagons to try and show Iran that they don't have a real move, Trump gets to play tough peacemaker, etc. Question is whether the threat is empty - and I'm sure it's not. Trump is already at the point where he can't let the nuclear facilities (in whatever state they're in) continue, and I think he's not far away from putting himself into a corner on regime change.

Trump is losing his mind.

The guy who tweeted that out is reading a lot more into that than is actually there. Huckabee is just saying he supports Trump's decisions. He's not trying to persuade him in any particular direction.

You idiots voted for this.

I think we tend to underestimate the pressure of being the guy "who missed the moment."
For someone like Trump (and any President), people whispering to him that he could be the guy who topples the Iranian regime is a powerful drug. As are the whispers that he could be the guy who missed the chance to prevent a nuclear Iran.

Exactly. Are people going to continue to take everything he does literally without thinking that perhaps there is an end game or an effect that he is trying to achieve?
It is very similar to how the left takes everything he says literally. Stop with the pearl-clutching.

God doesn't want anyone to bomb Iran.
This is dumb.
This goes back to me saying if Jesus had never claimed to be the son of god we would be fighting over something diff right now. But not the middle east.

I find nothing wrong with that statement. Every word is sincere and truthful with zero call to action
People are freaking out because they cannot mentally handle the gravity of the situation in Iran and are panicking.

This is dumb too, dude.
Who in the major candidate political spectrum is keeping us out of this if not Trump? And how do you square this with your desire that we get more deeply involved in Ukraine?

People are freaking out because this is Iraq condensed into a couple of weeks and they don't know how to discern truth from fiction and that bothers them even more.

What, exactly, do you find so objectionable in that statement that it makes you "speechless at this point"?

So far today... One person is using David Duke's lines about Israel. 2 others following that same attack. Several agreeing in ignorance. Now John Barron quoting Keith Woods.
Keith Woods is a self-described ethno-nationalist and antisemite.

Are you serious? "Not since Truman in 1945" Advocating to Nuke Iran and set off WW3 I find very objectionable.

I hope? Huckabee retweeted what Trump tweeted and Thames the President for posting it. You might need to do a little more research before coming onto a message board and accusing
