Try this out: if you see the word “say” in the first couple sentence of an article, skip it because it’s horseshite. It’s “but critics say” or “activists say” or “analysts say” or “experts say.”
And it’s not that I reject experts or scientists. It’s just that the article is TRYING to persuade, even though it’s disguised not to. Someone can identify the form of propaganda it is.

This thinking is part of the problem. Ukraine is fighting the war the American way: Send ordinance over the horizon and blow stuff up, but fail to do what it takes to really control the situation on the ground. In case Ukraine hasn’t noticed, the US hasn’t won a war in a really long time. Doing stuff like this won’t move the needle at the front one iota.

The Feds could have funded every single Louisiana coastal restoration project with the money they sent to Ukraine… nearly four times over.
That’s how little the federal government cares about us. They will wring their hands about how they can’t afford a single project in Louisiana, but literally pour money into a conflict half a world away that has nothing to do with us. We fund death enthusiastically while laughing at projects to preserve and improve life. It’s sick.
