The judiciary isn't in fact charged with the safety of our country.
Rather, it is charged with interpreting, applying and upholding the written rule of law, the foremost of which is the United States Constitution. That, in turn, is essential to safety in many ways, but you can't skip that key step.
I get uncomfortable when even well-intentioned people start talking "safety and security" in this context.
Eta: I see now that I misinterpreted the Tweet. I initially and quickly read the people who are "charged with the safety and security of our country" as his appointees. I see now that isn't what he meant. I'm not good at Twittereese. Ignore me.

Chief Justice John Roberts is and has been compromised AF. George W. Bush gave this puke the key to the judiciary kingdom. Beyond the “is a tax/not a tax” Obamacare bullshite, this man’s corrupt role in the FISA debacle was determined well-prior to his Chief Justice appointment. Trump has known this, as have many of us. Notice the tone of these DJT tweets. Our President is highly intelligent and tactical.
