I wouldn't have used the safety and security angle if I were him. The case against refugees and immigrants makes much more sense from an economic standpoint, but he's 100% right about everything else.

Holy shite. We haven't had a standoff between the Judiciary and the Executive in a frick long time.
He is spot on, but the last thing I would want to do is pick a fight with the guy who is saving your current agenda. There's nothing wrong with Roberts defending his lower courts and quietly rebuking them in his own way through the normal process.
This has to give some institutional sting to Roberts, and it might lead to the unintended result of Roberts going softer on the Ninth (though I doubt it).
That said, I repeat: Trump is exactly right.
