Except you and the libs were against the shot until you weren’t. Convenient flip

Most of my family are self employed, there was no need to take it. They see their error now.
Trump, by his statements and actions, does hold some culpability for what it happening to some folks health.
The scope and size of our government is enormous. We need to shorten it's reach. It should not be trusted.

In the end the vaccine did significantly curb transmission and saved some lives.

AGREED
Just as Trump put too much faith into Fauci and Birx. I called him out on this as well.
However, Trump didn't get on TV and tell the world that those who didn't get the shot were a "danger to society", then put mandates in place at companies AND THE MILITARY, forcing people to get in lines and take shots like cattle.
Again, one is actual fascism.

Even the experts admit it did jack all to curb transmission.
The final claim was basically “maybe you won’t die”.

It's called being stuck between a rock and a hard place. If he hasn't cut the red tape for Operation Warp Speed our economy would have been shut down for years instead of months. It would have destroyed us. He said all along that the cure cannot be worse than the disease. They released a bioweapon on the world and put him in a position where there was no call that could be made that couldn't be criticized. A literal damned if you do and damned if you don't scenario. Anyone who pretends they cannot see this or understand it is either a fricking retard or is yet another TDS addled fool.
How in the world can 20+ people downvote this?
It’s the truth.

A last minute ruling by the SCOTUS saved a lot of folks from unnecessary hardships.

Trump has proudly taken credit for warp speed speeding up the creation process for the vaccine.
A lot of trump supporters didn't get it because most of his supporters aren't mindless npcs like the woke are. We will call trump out on shite we disagree with.

In a lot of the hospitals. once the vax became available, you either took that or had to wear a mask for your entire shift. 12 hour shift at most hospitals for most jobs. And obviously, hospital workers were among the earliest access. I know, I’ve been among them.
My hospital we had to take two mandatory vaxxes, plus wear a mask.
My wife’s (no pics) hospital mandated a third shot. After the third shot she spiraled into a morass of health issues, lost her job 3 years ago, can’t work, and is on medication daily.

Trump did push for a vaccine and on the surface it made sense at the time.
Trump DID NOT make it a mandate or force federal employees and military personnel to get the vax,
It was Biden and the left who used COVID as a means of control or the populace.

On the JAMA public forum the published data suggests, based upon "sensitivity analysis', that 1.4 to 4.0 Million lives were saved. In the main analysis, the result was more than 2.5 million.

quote:My wife and I were in our 60s. I had several comorbidities. Also, I took an ACE inhibitor. Ace inhibitors can cause an increase of ACE2 by 5 to 10 fold. Covid piggybacked on ACE2 enzymes. They were not at all sure in Jan 21 where taking a ACE inhibitor made you more susceptible or not. What would y'all do?
The majority of my family voted for Trump, and did not want to take the shot until there were years of data to support its purpose.

How quickly people forget. “the vax” isn’t a binary discussion.
Based on the early data everyone, including Ron Paul, thought older folks, especially with health problems making them high risk for death, should get vaccinated.
Where things diverge is later when the government tries to mandate it and individuals who were not high risk were penalized if they did not get get. The other major part of this is the forcing it on kids as it is a gene therapy and the short term risk of Covid infection was very very low (they don’t die), the long term risk of the vaccine were unknown, so no one knew what the therapeutic index (risk/benefit ratio) was.

I think most reasonable people would say that you did the smart thing as you were high risk based on age and health issues.

First and foremost it is nor ever was a "vaccine". Second it did not curb transmission nor saved lives. This is not debatable.

Out of a nation of 331,449,281.. wherein supposedly 1,238,563 died.
The median age of death was 78 years old and over 75% of deaths were in those 65 and older.
But… all were forced, coerced, shamed and vilified- 6 months of age and up- to take these shots.
It was bullshite then and it’s bullshite now.
Not to mention the absolute impossibility of accurately calculating “lives saved” from a shot for a disease that primarily, like many respiratory viruses, kill the elderly and infirm.

Wrong.
Lessen the severity and possibly prevent death was the final claim.
