So a possible building was discussed. Seems a fact. Cohen has said updates were given to DJT let's go with fact.

And that's it so far.

If there was really much more Cohen would have spilled it already.

So, I intended to give the Mexican president a suite at my intended resort business in Cabo. It would be good for business to say that he had a residence there. I'm not asking for anything in return.

He might break a law by accepting it, but what would I be guilty of? Being gregarious?

You’re very simple minded.

Russia is the ninth most populous country in the world. After the USSR dissolved and foreign products were allowed to be imported, demand for those products exceeded supply.

When I first went to Moscow in May, 1995, I literally could not buy a bottle or can of Coca-Cola even at restaurants and stores draped in “Drink Coca-Cola” signs.

Russians were buying Cokes faster than Coca-Cola could truck cases of Coke from Western Europe into Russia. And that was despite Cokes costing 50% more than Pepsi or Russian bottled beverages.

So, KO eventually built a huge bottling factory outside Moscow and another outside St. Petersburg. The Coke senior officer in Russia told me all about the red tape they had to go through to build their factories including having the Russian government-owned food and beverage company enter into a joint venture with them. The entire contribution of the Russian partner to the combined enterprise was to be a partner. It had no operational duties.

I came home after that first two-week assignment in Moscow and bought 1,000 shares of KO....

I am working on our GCC JV contract right now
Mandatory to have an in country partner to work in the GCC even for us, a $13 Billion global conglomerate

I don’t really mind your posting articles and trying to flame the board, that is sport here on the PT

what bothers me is your animosity and sheer contempt for the board. If you don’t like the posters and culture here then feel free to GTFO and go back to your bullshite The Superficial snarky celebrity photo commentary game

wow what a story.

anyway, Im still waiting on any kind of link that says foreign companies have to give away control of their business to operate in Russia. hows that work? wouldn't those people now have access to intellectual property? I dont see why someone like Cisco or SAP would agree to that, thats why I was hoping to read more.

you implied it was a standard, everyday practice, and you should know, it sounded very common, yet I cant find anything.

my point is those are literally the ONLY 3 hits for the phrase you gave me
My point to you is you’re too stupid to know how to use Google to get information.

I just used Bing (I’m on my iPad) to search “Russian foreign enterprise joint venture law” and the results were numerous links including a magazine article from 1993 explaining the difficulties the law created for foreign companies.

There were several .pdf links which I didn’t open but one appeared from its short description to be a legal explanation of how to work around the law while still complying with it.

Aren’t you an Aggie?
