My question in this is why wouldn’t he be named? It’s not like Trump wouldn’t know who it is. If it’s too good to be true, chances are it is.

This is what you call a floater. The left are shitting themselves over the FISA memo. So the water carriers are given floaters to see if they’ll stick. They are gauging reaction right now. However, they are stupid enough to use the exact same tactics that have backfired on hem about every single faux Trump scandal they fabricate.

I'd be surprised if they went with this story without anonymous confirmation from McGahn. The Ruddy story also broke last June around this time that this was happening, but it was just one person with second-hand information. But depending on if there's a duplication of sources here, we now have possibly 7 people telling much the same story.
No need to worry about it, though. Sure Mueller won't be asking about this if he hasn't already.

Isn't the left literally "lashing out" via antifa/other protests, people in high-up positions literally calling for violence, and a constant Trump-bashing news cycle? These are people that think "TRUMP HAS TWO SCOOPS OF ICE CREAM, EVERYBODY ELSE HAS ONE" is headline-worthy because it'll get their constituents up in arms. Very hypocritical to say the least.

Aha! That's an interesting angle. I've been itching to know for the longest time to know what document McGahn was keeping in a safe from the President's attorneys.
