He didn't care the first time it was more of a personal challenge to himself. No I think he really would rather not be president anymore but he also hates to lose. His pride wants to win but other than that he couldn't care less about being president anymore

Most overused and stupid phrase on this forum

Anyone shedding light on what is actually going on gets accused of "concern trolling

So true. Big Scrub is genuinely bent out of shape that Trump isn't owning the moment and putting Biden away for good.

Hillary was going to slaughter him in 2016.

The latest polls showed Trump and Hillary pretty tight.

The RCP aggregate was off by 1.1%

But keep telling yourself Trump can win with a double digit polling deficit against Biden

If he doesn't improve, he's toast.

Do you believe in states' rights to govern?

so?

So that's not a good indication that he's in a position to win the election

In fact every data point that we have right now says he is toast

He has a lot of ground to make up and not a lot of time to do it

If he doesn't win re-election, you can bet the deep state is going to charge him in 2021. So he has every incentive to win re-election to prevent the deep state from trying to put him in jail.

The idea that Trumps going to lose to a racist mental midget with dementia that hides in his basement and at best gets 800 viewers on his incoherent word salad briefings always gives me chuckles .

On the contrary that's all he cares about. He's just going about it all wrong.

1. stay off twitter, for now anyway
2. act like you're working for everyone not just the base. Even if it's acting.

Then he can scorch some more earth in his 2nd term.

He'll do neither of those though.

This seems right. He wants to win, but doesn't want to do the job. With his love of Louis XVI chairs and other glitz, sense of entitlement and refusal to read briefings or otherwise learn the difficult aspects of the job, it seems he'd much prefer to be a monarch who leaves the governing to others and he gets to live the good life of the King.

Stop apologizing for him like he's some fricking weakling. He's THE POTUS.

I'm not apologizing for him. What do you want him to do? So much of what is going on is beyond his purview as president. Most of what needs to be undertaken needs to be done so at the local and state level. That is mayors and governors, not POTUS.

As someone who lives in Florida, and daily sees what happens to DeSantis when he tries to pass along good news, I think that all that would happen if Trump did this is that the press would tell us all how he is endangering lives.

That is exactly what happens to DeSantis every time he even attempts to spread some positive news. "Oh he's endangering people - he should close everything again"; never mind the demographic has become younger and points to increased social gatherings as being the chief culprit in the increased infection rate.

The fact of the matter is, that not even the CDC or WHO know what to do about it. If the docs don't know, how tf are the politicians supposed to know. Everywhere you turn it's dissenting opinions. We are all going to eventually get the stuff, so just open it up and let's get to the end of this "pandemic".

Don't be stupid. Once he is out of office they aren't going to give a shite. All of his people will be gone as well and lots of people that got fired will get hired back (I know how the world works).

Trump will go and live on the beach or whatever. His kids will not be in politics either.

bullshite

He's just unwilling to get out there and control the message. Or he's too incompetent to do it.

The polls in June of 2016? Nice try. She was whipping up on Trump by 7 plus points.

Keep up the faith, though.

I fricking adore reading stuff like this. It reaffirms my belief that liberals are the dumbest, most dishonest motherfrickers on the planet.
