Well.... say what u will, but I trust Trumps judgment on this more than anyone else's. Whatever Trump says, goes! He has more access to intelligence than we do. Anyone in public thinking they have the "big picture " on things is a fricking moron.

Those two things are what this war is really about in my opinion. While I’m happy that Trump engaged Putin and continues to do so it has always been Putin’s call for when this ends as he’s the aggressor (strictly speaking about the invasion), has more men and a better military. Without significant military assistance and hitting Russia’s economy (and his allies) he’ll just wear Ukraine down and take whatever he feels like and if that takes a decade so be it. He’ll get his prize and that’s what matters.

Trump is trying to tell Zelensky to make a peace deal now. The European leadership in NATO are telling him no, continue to fight. Zelensky will do what the European leadership in NATO tell him. Ukraine is running out of soldiers. Putin knows this is a war of attrition and will just grind-on until Russia has no one left to fight in Ukraine.

Yet again, you're saying something that is simply factually incorrect no matter how you look at it.
NATO's budget is tiny. Like $500 million a year. And it is shared by all member countries on a GDP basis. So our contribution is like maybe $100 million or $200 million?
The 2% military defense spending threshold is born by each country individually and is something like $500 billion.
We do not "fund NATO"

No dude, that's not what Trump is saying.
Trump is saying that Russia is losing, and Ukraine has a chance to win, however you define it. I don't know how this will affect US policy but there is nothing in that tweet that either implies or states directly that Ukraine should make a deal.
Zelinsky would happily do what the US told him to do, but that would mean that the US would have to fully back the Ukraine in this war first, something neither administration has done.

The Putin Bros aren't going to like this one bit. Tucker may even spit out Vladimir's hog long enough to start drinking again. Still, I like that he specifically said that we'd send surplus gear to NATO and let them figure it out from there. No need for us to be any more involved than that.
