If we're going to throw $2 trillion on top of the existing national debt, this bill should be debated. The American people deserve to hear the garbage in this bill. They deserve to hear arguments for and against its passage. Massie is today's Ron Paul. He is a true believer when it comes to limiting government, which 3/4 of Americans have ZERO interest in.

This is what I was hoping to hear. Good for him.

I'd argue we've reached a place where the two are all but inseperable.

The time for such "principled" stands has long passed. At least for now, I'm thinking.

How does that help those unemployed because the gov't made them lose their jobs?

Because payroll taxes are on both sides, employer and employee. Cut no h and open things up and watch how many people are hiring again. Suspend it for 18 months.

Sorry for following the Constitution. Trump is wrong on this and so are most of you.

These people aren't conservatives. They're just Trump cheer leaders

He could come up with something they totally disagree with and they'd contort themselves into agreeing with it

Sad bunch for the most part

in pragmatic/realism terms, the big issue is that this may only be the first. hell, i don't see how this is the last thing with states like NY and LA being decimated by this situation.

The leader of the Republican Party wants to remove a Republican congressman who is opposed to a fiscally irresponsible bill??

This is not your grandfather’s fiscal minded Republican Party anymore
Nope. It has become a populist, nationalist shitfest.

And it happened because they lost a grand total of two elections. Talk about over-compensation..

A lot of us don't, but this is not the way to handle it. He knows it's going to pass. If he doesn't like it, he can vote "no" instead of forcing all 400 members to fly back to D.C. for more negotiations

This. It's political posturing snd nothing more.

Of course not. We will likely look back on it as a drop in the bucket before this is all over.
