No. All federal money is tax payers money. The fed has no money.

Do you think there were no schools pre-1979?

They can fund themselves

Take DOEd's budget

Have Treasury collect it and immediately return it to state governmente. Not grants or $ with strings attached (other than it has to be used for education).

I remember having kids in college classes that were in sped classes or looked like they would have been.

Every syllabus I had in college stated something like extra time on tests would be given to the students that needed it.

They got extra time on their SATs too. My brother has Tourette’s and was given extra time on tests.

I don’t know why the department of Ed is needed for that.

It’s not like that money is necessarily going to them unless through student loans.

A lot of it goes to places like Harvard.

So, is Trump a dictator or is he powerless?

You people are going with the powerless angle now?

Your concern has been noted, fwiw.

Educate yourself on this subject. Where do you think the federal government gets that money to send to the states?

They get it from the states!!! Why in the hell should this country go through the expense of the states sending the feds money so the feds can send the money back to them through the US department of education? Especially when all 50 states have their own….departments of education.

Make sense of that for me and maybe we can talk

So prior to 1979 schools did not have to comply with a law passed in 1973?
