Trump is right on this one. They need to come to some sort of agreement to end the war. This can't go on indefinitely. It's not good for either warring country and it's certainly not good for the world at large either. A lot of important commodities come from that region.

This is very, very close to a whataboutism.
Anyway, Ukraine is a puppet state for NATO, Russia is not. It would be much harder to oust Putin than it would be Zelensky even though I am sure Pres Trump would prefer a new Russian leader.

I have come to the conclusion trump isn't running anything connected to Ukraine. He will take the L though when russia takes the country. Probably this winter. CIA runs the Ukraine operation.

Okay. What agreement would work? No. Seriously. What agreement would work for Putin? Because his demands haven't shifted after years.
Let's say the Mexico decides to invade and pulls it off. What are you willing to give to them? Texas? The Southern states? I mean, come on now, the war is hurting us both, what should we give up to appease those Mexicans? How much dick would you suck to bring that war to an end?
The truth is we all know Russia is in the wrong and brought this on themselves. So some of us hurl insults at Ukrainians because, well, them being invaded is inconvenient to us. Probably a bit more than inconvenient to them.
Cutting back aid just means the kid gloves are off for Ukraine, who, I should add, are fighting an existential war. If they lose they cease to exist and the terms Russia is offering is they cease to exist. Folks with their back to the wall tend to fight hard. Much harder than the Confederacy did during the War of Northern arse Whoopin.

Sure, let's just pretend that Russia and Ukraine are not the very same northern Slavic people who share the same language. Most of what Putin wants has been part of Russia historically. Ukraine, as a country, is like Palestine. It never really existed until someone said it should.

No, Zelensky declared martial law at the beginning of the war. The Rada (their parliament) has continued to extend it after the initial period ran out. The Ukrainian constitution prevents elections during periods of martial law.
