Again, where does EPA get this rule making authority???? Hint: it comes from Congress.

It really is. It's like they spend their lives looking for bad news and then freak out over things they don't fully understand..

So he should be telling the farmers and the media that a previous Congress and President is who is delivering this great program and increase to them?

You realize Congress passed laws requiring this?
Whoa. We should revisit the DOGE era

I guess so. You got him now! Trump is guilty of false advertisement.

Could the EPA lower the quotas?

That’s exactly what the administration is doing—setting the new minimum requirements.
Did Congress mandate these specific minimums?

Holy shite

Congress didn’t pass laws requiring funding of fake NGOs. But of course you knew that. Auditing isn’t the same thing as administrative rule making.

Well you've certainly quit the attempts at pretending to be rational

Cenex Harvest States is a large oil refiner owned as a Co-Op of farmers. Even they dont make biofuels and just refine crude. This is dumb. The government needs to get out of the biofuels business, but the EPA mandated this stuff for so long, that Big Oil is lobbying to get a ROI before mothballing these units.

Not only should there be no quota, it should be banned.
There is no reason, beyond welfare for big ag, to put food product into our energy stream.

“The Trump administration, as of March 2026, has finalized new, record-high biofuel blending requirements, setting the total obligations at 26.81 billion Renewable Identification Numbers (RINs) for 2026 and 27.02 billion RINs for 2027. This represents a significant increase, with the EPA estimating a roughly 60% rise in biofuel and renewable diesel production compared to 2025 levels“

But you don’t understand…a Congress two decades ago is forcing him to set these all-time high requirements and brag about it to the corn and soybean farmers.

You’re spinning this like Trump and the administration had no choice in the matter - that this is the absolute least they could have done.
That’s simply not true. In fact, this rule is 8% higher than what the administration proposed it would be in June of 2025.
