I think the bigger NIL story is that BIG teams are buying up a much larger share of the blue chip players than they were getting under the bagman system, kids are willing to go to the frozen northern wastelands for more cash + playing time rather than be stacked 4-5* talent on Bama, Lsu, Uga’ etc 2nd-3rd team rosters

Can I get a list of said players?

Google Miami’s roster from last season?

Did you not see Indiana, who was way worse than Vandy or UVA or UNC, completely flip the script? That is the future.

Indiana’s new success is 99% attributable to wining the lottery when they hired Cignetti.
Clemson and FSU both have excellent TV ratings, better than at least half of either the SEC or BIG, there ain’t no way in hell either are going to the Big12. Future tv conf money will be largely based on who can draw the most eyes

You could call the 1950’s a tie between GT and Tennessee for most dominating

I'd bring over UNC, Duke, Virginia Tech and Clemson.

I just can’t believe how many people keep suggesting adding Duke football to the SEC, have you actually even thought about this?
quote:

Top priorities for the SEC are UNC and Virginia.

What you would be bringing in there are two more Vandy’s

UNC has not won an ACC title since 1982, how do you think they would fare in the SEC?
quote:

I just don't think they fit the SEC...just sounds like UGA has that media market covered. They tend to fit the Big 10 profile a little better, but I'm not sure how the Big 10 would even view them.

We are in the 7th largest (and growing) media market in the US, I believe GT and Miami will be the BIG’s main targets from the ACC
None of the people involved in Tech leaving the SEC or not traveling to Mississippi are still alive, i don’t understand why yall still hold that against us.

Georgia Tech has been doing it for decades.

Since 1947 according to google
Having been to both Athens and Oxford, I am giving the win to uga on this one-quantity and quality

He is most certainly not GT material

Except Georgia tech is our biggest rival

You beat me to it.

Agreed.

What school is the most joyous to beat, and most painful to lose to- in any and all competition?
What fanbase do you hate the most?
Who do you pull against 100% of the time, no matter who they are playing?

For me all answers =UGA
quote:

Not in my book. They were for decades when I was younger. But not now.

Just my average as grits opinion.

Curious, what do you base this opinion on?
So you see why both leagues would want FSU now?

Looks fake as hell to me, still hilarious though
This is it exactly- premium matchups that will bring the best ratings are going to be the driving factor
FSU, Miami, Clemson and GT all already have better viewship than half the SEC and that is playing a bunch a horrible ACC matchups that hardly anyone wants to see
quote:

either FSU or GT would crawl across broken glass to get in the premier conference in college football.

I’m not so sure about that, the BIG pays more and is a better fit academically than the SEC for most of the ACC schools looking to move. Personally I love the old SEC rivalries especially Auburn, Bama and Tenn, but i think that bridge is burnt in both directions anyway
