Then definitely skip the red tape.
We are below full employment. The govt is still pushing debt and creating shite jobs.
No one wants these shite jobs except immigrants. White people are NOT going to do them.
Govt has to stop "stimulating" the economy when it needs no stimulating.

Are you so ignorant of economics you don't understand that any costs incurred by the companies that produce your food are going to be added to the cost of that food when you purchase it?

I don't have an issue with this. Many illegals are just hard working religious family centered individuals who are trying to better their living situation. I have been around many over the years with many learning English and embracing the country's values and customs.
Should they pay a fine or a higher citizenship or work visa fee? Sure. They came here illegally and should be held accountable. I just don't think deporting every single immigrant no matter the situation and starting the process over is financially responsible, especially when that illegal is contributing to society or is involved with the community.
Deport the bad apples or anyone with a criminal record (like they have been doing). Put stipulations in place:
You have X amount of time to register with Immigration. Once that expires and you are still not registered, you get deported if caught.
You have X amount of time to show you want the opportunity to be a citizen. This could be proof of paying taxes regularly, proof of employment, clean record, etc.
During this process if you are found guilty of a felony.....deported.

This is just his folding to the idea there will be mass deportation.

How are we going to have the largest deportation in American history if we let them right back in?

We let back in the ones we want and we document them.

He said he wanted the bad people out he never said he wanted the good people out. I don't have a problem with them coming back legally. Judging by Americans are too fricking lazy to work we're going to need them to work in the factories and plants that return to the US to make us great again. They will become the new middle class

This is not what has been bleated nonstop for months by right wingers. They want the border closed and lazy Americans put to work.
Until Trump says otherwise.
Now they want the border open for migrant workers.
And the migrants will be issued Social Security numbers and pay taxes, which DOGE claims is fraud (but it never was).
There is no consistency in the right wing position except, "Whatever Trump says is right."

The Trump position shifts Daiily or hourly. This isnt the "right wing position."
In fact his economics are much closer to yours than mine.

We are not a monolith, unlike other, notable voting blocs.

Open? Not necessarily... Trump's proposition was to send them all back, have the employers request the return of the workers they want, and go through legal channels in so doing.
Some on this board find that reasonable, some find it so but with further caveats... others staunchly disagree. Again, not monolithic.
Your, eh... bleating is noted.

Partner, you need to get out of this "blue vs red" shite when it comes to illegal immigrants in the work force. There are probably more "Republican" business owners and CEO types driving this shitshow than "blue DEI companies". It is all a game of kickbacks and turning a blind eye.
There's a difference between a small business owner wanting to keep his decon/recon crew intact and a global organization like AT&T pumping 10s of thousands of these people through the system.

The fact that you believe those two extremes of the spectrum are all that matters says a whole lot.
ETA: And each of those would be equally as guilty of breaking the same laws and should face the appropriate repercussions under those laws. The issue is that they haven't been.

Hoping you meant to say working natives reproducing. We’ve got plenty of nonworking natives producing right now.

quote:President Donald Trump suggested at a Cabinet meeting Thursday that undocumented people working on farms and in hotels would be allowed to leave the country and return as legal workers if their employers vouched for them. Trump said at the meeting with reporters present that “we have to take care of our farmers, the hotels and, you know, the various places where they tend to, where they tend to need people.” "So a farmer will come in with a letter concerning certain people, saying they’re great, they’re working hard. We’re going to slow it down a little bit for them, and then we’re going to ultimately bring them back. They’ll go out. They’re going to come back as legal workers." Curious where the PT stands on this. I don't think bringing back good, hardworking immigrants is a bad idea especially in industries that need them. It does seem unfair that they'll get to "skip the line" so to speak, though
I build houses. I hire Mexicans(legal ones). I appreciate how hard they work and some do really great work...but there is zero reason why white boys cant frame houses. I do a lot of my own framing as well...usually with my dad in his 60s. Weve told all our kids that they must go to college to make a good living. It was the biggest lie ever.
There are tons of young post college grads that could be great tradesmen...but its a hard pill to swallow going to work a job at 24 that you could have started debt free at 18. Weve got to stop steering kids to college

If it's folks who came here 10+ years ago, whether illegally or someone like a refugee who then never did the paperwork, but there's employers and folks who can account for them working their asses off and being great in their local communities, no crimes, etc....I don't have a problem with them "skipping in line" to get back here and work.
shite...can we trade them for American citizens who refuse to work and opt to simply live off our tax dollars?
