1 for 1 is a option but Israel trades 200-1 so I could get behind a similar offer of 1 higher skilled worker for 200 liberals on a permanent contract

Also a great way to get a list of companies who had been employing illegals
I doubt they actually do anything to them, like Abbott's boys who built a damn neighborhood for all their illegal workers to live in. They're big donors to the guv'nah, so......they just called it even after they rounded a bunch of them up.

We must have some different healthcare provided for them.
Make the employers responsible for insuring them or providing an on site Rx writing nurse that can handle the regular sniffles and whatnot.

Honestly, not the worst idea if they have no criminal background.
Ensure that they vote Republican at the next election and then watch the melt from the Dems.

I always thought this would be the plan, remove the criminals, remove them from welfare, make them legal productive members of society give them a long term path to citizenship.

If Trump allows this, what was the purpose of making them leave if you are just going to allow them back in?
It doesn't solve the problems that the invasion brings with it. Overcrowded schools, hospitals, demographic change, drives down wages, etc. etc.
It reminds me of that crooked law that they tried to pull off in Florida that turned over immigration to the Sec. Of Ag.

Are you talking a one time fine per head? That sounds reasonable... maybe.
Maybe. With monthly payroll reports and random workforce inspection. Their workers should be on a schedule towards citizenship of some kind, and they should be required to show proof that the process is being followed. Don't follow it, or more undocumented illegal workers show up? We're talking jail time.

Wasn't this the plan of the "Gang of Eight"?

Vote? No.
They are still not legal citizens. They shouldn't get to vote.

I think that was Hillary's plan for the most part, but she wanted them to learn English.*
*None of that bullshite was true, but it is what she claimed when she was in full pander mode.

This sounds very solid.
It incentivizes the actions our country wants and allows for the worker migration that agriculture needs, while giving solid workers a path to a better life- the right way.
Great plan, Legend!

Meh. It is basically following the damn laws that are already on the books.

go to the blueberry, strawberry, tobacco fields in NC. they don't complain about the heat, they don't get sunburn.

If this happens will you stop crying about illegals getting deported?
Not likely. The OP is your quintessential enlightened moderate. Hand wringing and pearl clutching are natural reactions for this type.

So that employers would have to personally advocate and vouch for each worker they want to keep, an organized process.
Also.. it needs to be a stop, reset process to discourage further employment and exploitation of illegal workers as well as to show the rest of those wanting to be here that THERE IS A WAY, but it has to be done RIGHT.

With the added benefit of a hard reset. The reset is needed, badly.

Curious where the PT stands on this. I don't think bringing back good, hardworking immigrants is a bad idea especially in industries that need them. It does seem unfair that they'll get to "skip the line" so to speak, though
I completely disagree with allowing people to circumvent the process.

Umm dude, this is something conservatives have been saying for quite some time and something Trump has endorsed in the past. Pay attention for once in your life and maybe you will catch a clue.
Posted on 4/11/25 at 8:49 am to Ingeniero
Not ideal. But it is a start. They also need to pay a fine for skipping the line. Plus no citizenship.
