It was a double edged sword he was up against. Without going into post after post I will simply offer this.
He was fighting against the Dems, the media, some in his own party. Many of which were against him no matter how nice or how complimentary he would have been.
He needed to fight back with what ever tool he had. Sometimes it back fired.
By the way, are you one of those voters that always cried for change in Washington, and getting rid of the status quo? If you were and you are doing this, then you never wanted change and just lied to yourself.
Changing Washington and the apparatus in place was, is, and will always be an ugly, mean, dirty, dealing with corruption, depraved people. It will take a person like Trump to make that change.
Proper traditional decorum will not get it done. In fact the Dems have stopped following that a while ago.
We need someone that can go toe to toe with the DC machine. You want nice and nice won't get it done. So you can keep using your ad hominem attacks, but they are baseless and untrue.

No, despite the “cultish nutjobs” Trump got 75 million votes and won every bellwether county.
Trump lost because the election was purposely stolen by a conspiracy of politicians, bureaucrats, large tech companies, spineless catch 22 courts, and election officials which have continued to fight tooth and nail to prevent audits and investigations into their blatant f$&kery with software “glitches”, ballot reading machines, fake mail-in ballots, etc.
Any politician that refuses to push back against this literal attack on our democracy must be purged, and I don’t mean just at the ballot box because this fraud has taken away our only recourse for peaceful civic input on how our government operates. If we don’t fix and reverse this stolen election NOW, there will never be another free election, and our democratic republic form of government will come to an end, replaced with a fascist authoritarian regime where the people have only the illusion of choice, free expression, rights, and political power.
This isn’t just a curfuffle over a sales tax, insurance benefits, or chicks with dicks in bathrooms, but whether the citizen’s will be allowed to have any real say in who is elected to represent them. This is the biggest defining struggle for our nation’s survival since WW2. This is the final hill to die on, and Trump is the figure head of that fight. This is so much bigger than that orange arsehole. We are living through the end of liberty if this stolen election is not corrected.

We need to move on and focus on 2022 and 2024 and promoting/electing strong conservative candidates. Otherwise, we are going to lose the 2020 election multiple times.

Keep investigating and proving the fraud and it will make it an even bigger landslide for the right in 2022 and 2024. Use it to advance the cause. You can't live in the past.
Trump will be 78 years old in 2024. The same age Trump fans were denigrating Biden for during the election.
