Not sure how, as it would seem that Congress would have to do it.

Would cost the government about half a billion a week, according to the article.

The Democrats in the Senate aren't going to give him this.

I agree he cannot do this without congress. He should be posting how Congress has the ability to but they won’t. Again they can pass an Epstein bill in 72 hours 534-1 but can’t ever do anything for the people.

This would be the perfect midterm fuel for Pubs. Get Dems to vote against it and plaster ads showing them voting no.

Perfect opportunity for Pubs to gain some easy midterm points

18 cent reduction? Makes sense.

I am trying to think of things that might make the price go up or down, but I just can’t put my finger on it.

That's how they're going to de facto mandate EVs

Trump's gonna mandate EVs after he removed the subsidies and tax breaks?

Why? He said the Straight of Hormuz doesn’t impact us.

This is where they fap furiously to the notion that the establishment left/RINOs are going to wait Trump's second term out and come back with a vengeance.

yes they would. similar to the 2% reduction on payroll FICA back in 2010, congress passed the 2 year reduction as part of a bigger spending bill.

Sounds like a pretty good strategy then...push for a way to save the American people money and then have the Democrats openly rally against it just before midterms.

It is clear looking at you're post history you are too dense to comprehend something like this by yourself.

The Dems haven't given him nothing since Day 1. All they have given him is a hard time

I don't think an on again, off again, military action combined with over sensationalized crude speculation is enough grounds for a Presidential run around of a Congressionally mandated tax. If this were a full out World War, then yes, but because the Straits of Hormuz are blocked, which we could rectify militarily within 96 hrs, I don't think that could survive the Court challenge that is surely to follow.

lol the public knows who is responsible for these high gas prices right now. An 18 cent drop is nothing.

It would be so easy to frame this if Dems voted it down.

You group the dollars into one monthly total. Then say Dems voted against saving hard working Americans $500m per month by voting no to tax cuts on gas.

Its an easy little effort win. This is straight out of the Dem Playbook and Pubs won’t realize how easy this would be to use in ads.
