If Iraq can do it, so can we

But since it affects the Fed gov perhaps he can still fix election day.
The federal government should make standards for all federal elections. If a state doesn't meet the standards, that states votes won't be counted.
Period. It's simple.

Doubt it could be done by hand
What happened such that they could do it by hand decades ago but they cant now? Many states have long had laws requiring votes to be done counting by midnight.

Love the plan.
I don't know how it gets implemented.
Make federal standards and tie highway funds to them. Isnt that how they got the drinking age changed?

If a big state like Florida can do it there's no reason all 50 states can't do it.

It seems the only states that can't do it are ones run by Democrat gov/SOS. It's no coincidence those are the states that also win Democrats elections.

If he does nothing else, securing our elections would make his presidency a success

Well, it is certainly not weeks later.

There is no reason they can't open early voting and still meet the time requirement. That is the answer. Start earlier but dont excuse going later.

I am fine with this, but in reality, not sure this can be done UNLESS the USA makes election day a national holiday. Then it can be organized and planned better. You could have people make appointment like times to come in to vote based on address or last name, etc. to expedite the vote.
You realized, overwhelming majority of American elections were done counting the same day prior to 2020, right?

But I thought all "Trumpists" wanted hand counted ballot tallies no matter how long it took, I am too lazy to scroll back right now but there were dozens of posts back in October - November saying only hand counting can be trusted. There is no way Trumps 10pm proposal can mesh with hand counting!
The only way to do this is with electronic voting like in Latvia and Estonia.

Florida does not complete counting all their votes by 10:00 PM election day

Someone actually downvoted this.
One of the most eye-opening concepts to come out of the last ten years of American politics is this. Evidently, a significant number of left-wing voters are against any kind of ethical and efficient election system. A noticeable percentage of Americans want election fraud if it benefits their party.
No matter who is in office, it is a sad period for America. These people lost this round, but they still get to vote.
Sorry, TLDR

We dont want this
i can and have tried to explain
It would be an absolute guarantee that big government liberal types would eventually be in charge
20-30 years minimum and there would be no clawback
enforce current voter ID laws,, tie highway funds to that
we don't need Fedralized elections

did a SINGLE ELECTION where the R was leading election night that drug out for an entire month or longer end up going to the R?
a SINGLE ONE?
seems like a christmas miracle that dumb luck favors the Dem every single time.
just a statistical oddity.

I am curious what these posters have to say about this....
Bourbon Bebe
Louisiana should NOT buy new voting machines
We should vote on paper ballots and they should be hand-counted publicly at the precincts - like it says in our state constitution! Why have our Secretaries of State been allowed to ignore the constitution?
Texas Yarddog
Paper ballots, Voter IDs, and blue thumbs should be the norm for all federal elections.

And who cares if it takes a few days. What is important is an accurate, legitimate vote count.

NO machines are safe. NONE. All machines can be manipulated and the manufacturers won't even let election officials look inside of them.
The bottom line is our constitution says that votes should be counted publicly and that is not happening.

Florida used to be one of those states that took a while to get the votes in. Until a certain person in Broward got shite canned and Desantis took over and started enforcing election rules.
