Not one of these things will happen.

They best find some legit SEC secondary players if he's running that 4-2-5 defense.

I remember the last time a coach attempted that shite here and failed.

Willie Robinson, Robb Smith, John Chavis, and Travis Williams all ran the 4-2-5 as their base defense.

So...yeah we should probably go get some SEC caliber players.
Yeah, but what's his buyout? Is the money guaranteed?

The ole "none of those P5 wins actually count because they didn't win their conference" technique.

That's the retarded cousin of "none of Bobby's losses counted because he didn't recruit all of the defensive players".

Sorry brother, the games have to count for something.
Is that real? "He might be lighting a cigar in Indianapolis having beat Ohio State".

Awesome if so.

I notice that you left out Mississippi State, Boise State, Iowa State, Florida State, West Virginia, Arkansas, and a couple ranked conference opponents.

Drewbie, I usually agree with you on most everything. Disappointed that we'll just have to agree to disagree.

I don't think Silverfield is gonna win the SEC Championship, but I believe he's as qualified as any of the other reasonable candidates other than Matt Campbell.

He went 27-21 against AAC competition

All of the games count (a concept that seems to elude you). Golesh went 14-10 in the AAC; Eric Morris 13-11. Neither beat Silverfield.

Bobby Petrino just finished going 0-7 with two bye weeks and 2 months to structure practices. The roster that Bobby coached was worth 12 million dollars and had a top-30 247sports composite talent ranking.

Exactly who would have satisfied you? Urban Meyer?

I was thinking 20-23 would be good.

23 wins in 3 seasons would be the best 3-year run in 15 years.

Easily more impressive than Silverfield treading water and failing to match the accomplishments of the two coaches that came before him.

If going 50-25 is "treading water" then Arkansas needs to only hire G5 coaches that tread water. He's won 67% of his games.

I completely understand not being overly excited about this individual getting the position, but insinuating that Silverfield is unqualified is laughable.

Also, not that it matters, but in typical Houston Nutt fashion 1 of those wins in his "5-6" season at Boise was a forfeited 63-23 loss to Cal State Northridge.
Maybe next time don't lose to Texas :dunno:

Keep melting bitch.

His team got in and your state's private G-5 school made it as well. What exactly is he upset about?

the clock is ticking on Cignetti.

Curt laughs. Why would the coach of the #1 team in the country leave for any reason? To be the 6th statue at Alabama or be a "Little g" God in Indiana?

His money is the same at either institution.

We're headed for 16

NOOOOOOOOO.

No. No.

We expanded this thing from 4 to 8 to 12 before we even had the contractual ability to play the first 8 team playoff be played.

Slow the damn roll. Notre Dame isn't the best team in the country.

Seems to be a nice guy

Is kinda the problem...
But we also want the 5 highest ranked conference champions and the G-5 included

Or more accurately, using the 247 composite talent rankings:

It must've grinded your gears to watch a team with a bad "composite talent ranking" win the Big 10 last night.
