What's the deal with Braxton Lindsey? Is he mormon? Holy cow, his tape is unbelievable.

Edit - The Rogers High School OLB
Well so much for the idea that Arkansas had lost its connection with young fans and players.

Personally, I wouldn't have thought that Silverfield would actually just go sign the top 12-15 in state. I didn't he was smart enough to do that. Some of these guys aren't SEC players, let alone starters. However, there is good will to be built up by doing this.

I appreciate smart gestures like this.

He would still have to have a good play caller and DC or we could get everything I said and still go 5-7

Sam Pittman found a way to win 9 games in this conference.

That's not how this works any longer. Kids go to the highest bidder.

Well, that sucks. I guess we should have let them sign with Missouri, Oklahoma, and Miami while hoping for the best.

My bad. I didn't know how this works.

There is nothing here that points to him being the answer so far.

"The Answer"

Wait, do you think there's somebody that's gonna have Lane Kiffin-at-Ole Miss level success here in 3 seasons?

Arkansas is looking for their Hugh Freeze - not their Lane Kiffin.

Edit - We ain't going 2-10 to 9-3 next year. I'm just looking for a builder.

but you can recruit the top guys in state, hammer East Oklahoma (Tulsa metro) and that can normally always be a solid foundation to a recruiting class.

Add Memphis and North Louisiana.

‘All In’

Better than "yessir", "Left Lane, Hammer Down", and #Uncommon

But I have been accused of "sunshine pumping" :dunno:

You have to learn how to handle defeat before you can enjoy success.

An LSU fan typed this out....
Also, got the commitment of 4-star DL Anthony Kennedy Jr.

That’s not even a 3% raise. I don’t see an issue with it as most folks in the business world are getting 3% on average annually.

I suppose. I would prefer most of the contract itself be incentive-based, but I get that's just not really how this works.
He committed 5 minutes ago, I just don't know how to embed a tweet.
quote:

The 45-year-old Silverfield will receive $100,000 pay raises each year of the agreement that runs through the 2030 season.

I swear Hunter just invents shite.

Why would there be a bonus that isn't tied to performance in any way? Have all the previous contracts been structured this way, and i've just been missing it?
quote:

I see you guys are now in stage 2 of grief

Probably.

I would rather be excited about the future rather than pissed off at the seemingly qualified new coach who is actively working hard to recruit.
quote:

Kane's not an immediate starter anyway. Could keep KJ and give him some time to season

This. There has to be a minimum of 5 QBs on the roster. Pay them come and quit telling them they'll be the starter. Sam botching the Lindsey grandson pissed me off.
Golesh will do fine at Auburn. He's a heck of an offensive mind.

However, if Golesh can't get Dirkin to sign on the dotted line, Silverfield needs to offer DJ 1.5 million to come coordinate the defense here.
One of the greatest lies perpetuated about Arkansas football is that there isn't enough instate talent to be competitive.

The starting RT for LSU this season was Carius Curne (a True freshman from West Memphis).

A month before Silverfield got the job, 6 of the top 11 players in the state were committed to other FBS schools. A team with a core group of Arkansas-bred players can win in the SEC. Just look at 2006, 2010, 2011, etc.

But all of this is moot at this point. All I want to see is the same level of criticism levied against Silverfield next year. No excuses.

When his team finishes the season next year with a -11 turnover ratio, you can bet your arse that I'll criticize him just as much and probably more.

he was judged for them anyway

I am judging Bobby for his Offense, just to be clear.

The offense

- that Bobby had complete control of for two years from a scheme and recruiting standpoint -

was only able to muster 14 points at LSU in a game that the defense gave up only three TDs. Special teams actually scored in that game as well.

was winning by two scores in the fourth quarter against Auburn before committing 3 turnovers in a row. The defense gave up 16 points that day.

Had Bobby won those two games, he would be the head coach of the University of Arkansas today.

Or they could have just not fumbled away the Memphis, Ole Miss, or Tennessee games. Take your pick.

I want to see the exact same level of vitriol for Silverfield's year 1 as Petrino got as an interim taking over in week 5. None of this "it's just year 1" bullshite. Keep the same energy.

I understand your premise.

The problem with it is that ,if Silverfield wins even 1 SEC game next year, it would be an improvement upon whatever the last 3 months was.

If Silverfield goes 0-8, maybe we should have given Bobby a chance despite his undisciplined offense.

Bookmark this and we can revisit next year.

...And yes, the AD is still bad at his job. That goes without saying.
