Former President Donald Trump’s potential return to the Oval Office will include an effort to purge the unaccountable administrative state that creates and directs vast amounts of far-left policy in the federal government, a report Friday by Axios detailed.
If reelected in 2024, Trump is planning to cut about 50,000 administrative state employees to rein in unelected technocrats in federal government agencies that have great influence over policies impacting American workers, according to the outlet.
“The impact could go well beyond typical conservative targets such as the Environmental Protection Agency and the Internal Revenue Service,” the report explained. “Trump allies are working on plans that would potentially strip layers at the Justice Department — including the FBI, and reaching into national security, intelligence, the State Department and the Pentagon, sources close to the former president say.”
The term administrative state specifically describes the phenomenon of unaccountable and unelected administrative agencies exercising power to create and enforce their own rules.

Would rather he do it than just telegraph what he would do.
If you were a Strozk type, you'd be inclined to do everything within your power to make sure you still have a job. We already know what they are capable of.

He should try to wear that out as a campaign promise!

Stop. I can only get so erect.

Fed Gov't employees getting laid off...
Now that is a campaign promise that will guarantee winning in the red states.

Idea may be to incite them to doing something openly which in turn makes it happen regardless of Trump winning.
Civil service reform needed to happen for years but only got pushed through in the late 1800s after an unqualified guy pushing to be an ambassador shot President Garfield.
Some other kind of major event where it becomes clear what is going on may make such a change inevitable.

his supporters already know what needs doing, this wasnt a message for us, well not directly, im sure it reassures some fence sitters he has learned and wont repeat the first mistakes he made
i think this was a message to the independents and the 17 million new illegal voters we have here by election time, so they know what his plans are

I hope he delivers on this promise.

If you’re a federal bureaucrat beyond the 1st to 2nd level grunt government worker you should be limited to 25 years service….no more Fauci types!

My mind is willing but I am not sure my body will survive this...

In order for this to work we need to elect nothing but MAGA patriots to congress

After cleaning out the power abuse and incompetence of the administrative fiefdoms, the remaining parts should be dispersed to further deflate the Washington bubble.

In defense of those that were critical of Trump not doing this, I think either he didn't know exactly how to fully do that, what all that might entail, OR was misdirected in his efforts by bad hats.
This statement lets me know he now has the precise gameplan on how to carry this out. All Federal employees should be subject to termination, and or answering to the Executive Branch.
