Well you are the dimwhit that copied and pasted a dictionary definition of treason. The specific article of the UCMJ would apply and it is much more in-depth.

Okay well since you seem to know it share it with the rest of us so maybe we can understand how it would apply. Otherwise all we have to go on is the basic definition and I’m struggling to understand how that fits (maybe it does I don’t understand though)

When you show up with an internet dictionary definition, no one is going to help you. It shows you are either lazy or stupid, or both.
It's really easy to search for 18 USC Treason. 18 US Code is where the criminal statutes are located. US Code is our set of laws. You can get a pdf of the Manual for Courts-Martial online. Just do a search, then look for the word treason. Also, the UCMJ is contained in 10 USC. The numbers that come before USC are for the title in the Code. 10 USC means Title 10 of the US Code.
