Since you apparently have some experience with them, you doubtless understand that they can become somewhat… obsessive… about their chosen fields of “expertise“ and that they can have difficulty sorting the wheat from the chaff when memorizing all the data that they find.

I use that term for anyone with mental disability who can’t function in society without some form of assistance. Don’t get your panties in a wad over it. Insensitive sure but I don’t quite give a frick. I don’t call them that to their face but I don’t shy away from the term
