To all those who back Trump in the 2024 GOP primary

This is what you got. While yes, midterms are usually bad for an incumbent, the GOP lost Kansas, South Carolina, and likely Mississippi. Insane. Looking at 56 Democrat senate seats in a favorable map for GOP. Why? Not because people rejecting conservatism, but rejecting specifically Trump. The nonsense Iran war, the tariffs that raised inflation, the corruption, the pettiness, the tech alliance, etc. I really do believe almost any other Republican could have ridden the conservative vibe shift to pretty decent midterm elections this year if they just did what the GOP campaigned on in 2024.
But everyone seemed to forget how bad Trump actually is at governing. So for everyone who supported Trump in the GOP primaries, you have yourselves to blame for believing he wouldn’t be the disaster he has always been.

People would have rathered talk about Ron’s boots than Trumps consistently poor record with selection of cabinet or candidates.

Most people don't get to vote in a presidential primary because the process is over before then.
For some reason we decided only Iowa and sometimes New Hampshire should really get a say.

Yeah, we would be much better off with George Bush, John McCain, Mitt Romney or Jeb Bush....
Not only would we be knee deep in the same shite but we'd also have no ICE, no mass deportations, even more wars and even more jobs shipped overseas.
Trump absolutely brought this on himself by putting Israel first but don't act like 99% of the GOP would have been any better.

I've haven't supported a Democrat since Jimmy Carter and I will never vote for any DSA candidate. Most of what ails this country has been a concerted effort from establishment Republicans and Democrats over the past 60 years. Until a majority of the American electorate increases their base knowledge of economics, finance and politics.....we're gonna get the shite federal government we deserve.
That is all.

Unfortunately some of us were right that it was time to move on from Trump/MAGA in ‘24. Deep throaters wouldn’t let him go and now we are effed.

DT like Reagan put America first .DTs mistake was ,Iran, and not following history on these actions. The last 70 years have shown these wars are a President killer. You can’t win and the American people pay the PRICE,pun intended.People vote their pocket book.

Well this is a childish post.
But Idk what you're talking about. Im still glad I voted for him - he's gotten a lot done that was actually good for the nation and people. This is just a particularly bad example of the normal sway of the pendulum that happens every midterm
Not good for iran however which is why Im assuming we have to many strangers here lately saying the same talking points.

For the first 11 years he was antiwar.

Inflation is 3%. Biden was 9%.

pettiness
This is definitely a problem. You can get away with it if everything is going great. If people feel bad about the economy, not so much.

Voted for Trump three times.
Iran is a debacle that he'll never recover from.
Now he's crowing about the ballroom after getting gutted by the left

A ridiculous spit in the face expense when his voters are having trouble affording housing.

I voted for Desantis but he wouldn't have gotten anything passed either with the DC Republican pussies Trump had and we would be pretty close to where we are today anyway.

Based on what we were promised at the time and what we thought we'd get, I'm not at all regretful that I voted for Trump. I'm not 100% sure DeSantis could have won anyway.

There is no comparison between these two in America First (positioning America to dominate globally). Regan took down the Soviet Union. Trump gave the world to China and Russia at great profit to his family.

Yep. These are the same idiots who cost us a red wave in 2022 by nominating shite candidate in swing races.

lol ICE's mass deportations of non-criminals is one of the reasons for the slaughter last night. Americans want a strong border, most do not support Trumps heavy hand, round everybody up even if it means detaining legal residents approach. The ICE raids are a key part of why the public soured on him.

Exactly. Biden was similarly unpopular and there was only a red trickle. Trumps influence killed the 2022 midterm red wave and his awful governance just led to a blue tsunami. 2022 and 2026 should've looked more similar; the difference is Trump, not delivering on promises, and him hand-picking bad candidates. He needs to gtfo of the GOP yesterday
