I imagine that you do know what’s causing the American ranches problems isn’t the consumers but rather the packers having total control over what they allow ranches to get. While it’s not ideal to get that subpar quality coming from Argentina the thought is to add more supply outside of those packers. 300k tons sounds like alot until you start getting into the math part of American daily intake

How about we blame Congress instead? They’ve had decades to fix the issues that force family farms out of business. It’s now more economical to sell the farm to a developer than it is to farm, but no one says a word about that.
Like it or not, the average family can’t continue to afford fricking hamburger at 14 or 15 dollars a pound. Want a couple steaks? Open up your fricking wallet because it’s now a luxury item… at some point families have to eat but it’s getting harder and harder when you have to pay 30 fricking dollars to cook a few burgers. And don’t get me started on the blend either. Most of the shite out there is 80 / 20 which means when you cook a few burgers 20 percent of it gets raked off in the damn trash because it’s fat. Want a leaner blend? Bend over and grab your ankles.

Argentina does have literally the number 1 steakhouse in the entire world, Don Julio, in Buenos Aires. They do have some incredible beef

It's really good, but better than American beef......debatable. I find that Argentines KNOW how to cook their meat.
