This should help American beef farmers.

This is how you encourage turning pastures into solar farms.

Is Argentinian beef a superior product?
Posted on 8/24/26 at 12:11 pm to MightyJoeYoung
My suggestion is to buy local when you can. If you're actually interested in supporting American beef farmers.

Tyson has closed multiple beef plants in the US over the last few months, now this. Terrible decision.

When it’s actually beef, maybe.

IDK about what they export but their domestic beef is some of the best in the world. There's a steak house in San Telmo thats one of my favorite places in the world.

He died in 2023. That's why we got to see his 7 ft. tall body double.

With the cost of supermarket beef as high as it is, it's Basically the same a local beef producers now. It used to be $10+/lb cheaper.

He was never really 'here'. But maybe you'd be comforted by the scratchy sound of Trump's autopen operated by his random staff.

Dude, a few years ago Biden forced farmers in the USDA program to slaughter a ton of cows that weren't even 2 years old yet. On top of that, from 2021-23 many farmers had to sell off or slaughter large herds due to drought and the cost of feed. They slaughtered a lot of heifers that otherwise could’ve stayed in the breeding herd.
IIRC, ideally a cow should reach 2 years to 30 months before slaughter.
Rebuilding that cycle in a herd takes years, and some farmers will tell you they need about 6 more months with their current crop. This is helping them and keeping them from having another government-mandated slaughtering of herds too early.

By reputation, absolutely.
Everyone has different tastes. However, their beef is famous for flavor as well as being lower in saturated fats and higher in nutrients.
Not sure if that's due to less engineered and more labor intensive farming methods or what or if the good stuff is what their major exporters send to US supermarkets though.
I do know that if you have a connection like someone who works for an Argentinian embassy, the steaks they get are unreal.

Not sure how Cattle Farmers are hurting when hamburger meat is $5-6 per pound and ribeyes these days are $24 per pound.

The same beef farmers that culled their herds to drive up beef prices during the Covid era? Let me guess, it’s the government’s job to subsidize them yet again

Retail prices don't make it back to the rancher. The stock yards and meat processing/packaging are killing it. This is mostly Covid supply chain disruption then a couple bad years of drought right behind it. We've been down on herd count since 2021 and we didn't cull at all for Covid.
