We have to fight them over there so we won't have to fight them here at home - unless we bring them over here ourselves with unfettered mass illegal immigration efforts from FedGov, which we HAVE done, so, . . . but still . . .

Look, I understand about idiotic foreign wars, but, Iran has been such a bad actor for almost 50 years, and if we can get rid of that Radical Islamic Regime, there will be less war.

The only way to solve all your woes is simple but won't happen immediately. Never vote for a Democrat and really scrutinize the Republican you may want to vote for cause there are many RINO's out there trying to sneak in to power and money.
An outsider like Trump has turned the shady political world on its' head and that's why you see so many haters. They're like cockroaches, and Trump turned on the light. And boy did they scramble. All the RINO's like Tillis, Murkowski, Collins, Massie, McConnell, etc. have shown their allegiance is only to themselves. Just look at the fake news outlets and who they pay to be analysts on their shite shows. They love it when a so-called Republican speaks out against Trump. Just look at Marjorie Taylor Greene, she was up Trump's arse so far all you could see were her heels...and now she hates him!
If you don't see that Trump loves this country and risks his life everyday for it, you should see a doctor and have your head extracted from YOUR arse!

And yet, even here on the Political Talk, I see people doubting Trump, actiing like he has sold out! People forget what Trump is facing- attacks from the Dems, the media and even his own Party. In some situations, he is forced to compromise, because the RINOs will not let him pass anything, for example, the Save Act. I came to the conclusion a week or so ago, that the Deep State has won. Trump did everything to expose the Swamp, but yet they have succeeded in convincing the public that Orange Man bad. It's really sad, we will never have the opportunity to see an outsider again, truly for the people. The people will complain in the future, while voting for a RINO Repub or a liberal Dem Leftist and wonder how things could be so bad, failing to see it was their own fault!

Its not sustainable.

For your children and grandchildren's sake, buy property in the country and start getting as self sufficient as you reasonably can.

The deficit and debt come from entitlements, not foreign wars

Military spending makes up such a small percent of government spending for how much people shite on it, and it’s the only major budget item that’s actually in the constitution

When a nation is nearly $40 trillion in debt, has a serious issue with rampant corruption and immorality in its government, in its major institutions and quite frankly, throughout society, that nation should focus on its own ills and cleaning up its own dirty house.....period.

The American people need to take a closer look at who the bully really is, before the world unites to punch the bully in the nose. If/when that happens, it will be you and me paying the price.

It was the Korean conflict. Get your facts straight man. We don’t dare call it what it actually was.

Are you tired of living free?
Are you tired of not having to worry about being nuked by Iran?
Are you tired of your freedom? Take a deep breath my man. We got it pretty damn good right now. Would you have rather lived in the 1800's when times were simpler and people were different than they are now? Just try to count your blessings because that's what I'm doing, but hey.... you do what makes you unhappy, and that is complain.

You could always read my post.

I read it, but I also thought you were one of the posters here who could conceptualize a full picture and I thought that's what, "They get a hell of a deal" was referring to. Since it would be a relatively meaningless statement if all it was referring to was one element of a total picture.

quote:

This kind of calculation doesn't work, because of the income cap, and the relative few that pay any significant amount of income taxes..

No, I think it does. I checked those numbers with three sources and they all came out about the same. Now, you've noted a limitation in that broad categories may have individuals within them with a wide range of experiences—the whole idea that if you have 1000 people in a gym and you measure the hieght and weight of everyone and then average them, very few people would actually conform to the average—but the converse is also true.

The middle class pays more in all other taxes combined than they do in income taxes. So does the lower class (obviously). Only the upper class pays more in income tax than other taxes.

Which is why just looking at income taxes skews the total picture.

And again, I thought you were a total-picture kind of guy.

If you can’t find a way to handle a few bucks to Israel, I’m not sure what to tell you. Sorry you’re worrying when we have a bigger battle to fight. We will see you on the other side, brother (I hope).

The war costs are misleading. We are paying that regardless of conflict or not. Most of the cost is maintaining a military.

Are you serious? If Trump wouldn't have so much pushback from evil-assed DemoRats and RINO's he would have this country in the best shape it's ever been in.
