So disgusted with the whole lot of them in the senate.

It won’t pass the Senate with SAVE in there. So I guess let’s just beat our head against the wall.

This site will always hate all Congressional leadership because they are single issue voters who oscillate from the current thing to the next thing, with all of the things always being non-negotiable.

In this post, Indefaggotable pretends Thune would actually advance a vote on the Save Act as a separate bill.

This is why I laugh inside when people talk about possibly losing the House in the midterms. We don't have the House right freaking now!!!!

Thune was McConnell’s protégé …. like McConnell, he doesn’t care one way or the other, nor does he care how it impacts everyday Americans ……. he cares only that he is able to extract the necessary indulgences for his caucus.

Go figure. That is the swampiest thing yet from this worthless congress. Almost like they are all on the same team.

I doubt that he would, and it wouldn’t pass if he did.

But I guess somewhere in your mind it’s a viable strategy to attach it to everything so that nothing ever passes.

If they'd nuke the filibuster it would pass. The dems are going to nuke it when they take the reigns anyway.

He's giving Schumer and out. Make him own another shutdown.

I’m not certain that it would, and I’m not in favor of killing the filibuster at this particular moment. We’re going into two straight Congressional elections where Democrats will have headwinds simply because of TDS.

Don’t you just love our establishment Republicans?

Real champions for the interests of their constituency across this great land.

The GOP is going to get the blame for a shutdown. It’s too close to an election for the narrative to be anything other than anti-GOP from the media.

But I oppose multi-issue bills categorically anyway. Fund the government. Set policy separately. Sure, some things are inextricable from the budget insofar as spending priorities etc., but voting policy shouldn’t be in the funding bill(s) to begin with.

We need an amendment banning omnibus legislation.

I don’t think he’ll bring something like that to the floor unless a No vote would kill a Democrat running for reelection. Which isn’t the case this year.

But whether he’s lying or not doesn’t concern me. SAVE isn’t going to pass either way, so I choose not to care about it.

Shut it down or let POTUS Trump VETO it while explaining to the American people in PRIME TIME he vetoed it because the Congress does not want Voters to have an ID in order to vote!!

People are demanding Voter ID!!
