Recession Planning?
No two economists agree on what is a recession though the US just reported its 2nd qtr. of negative growth. Employment numbers and consumer spending don’t align with a recession. Either way, this Fortune article yesterday highlights recession planning thoughts from Elon Musk and other top CEOs.

bullshite. Until the last 30 days, there has NEVER been a question on what constitutes a recession. Ever.

Hey man, if they said it, it must be true. You can take it to the bank 100% if they say we're not in a recession.

Again, why would you expect clarity from a party who can’t say what a women is?

Acknowledging a recession, even once, makes it marginally more likely that Donald Trump returns to the White House. Literally everything the American Left (which includes most media outlets) does and says is solely geared towards defeating Donald Trump.

Once you acknowledge that, the mealy-mouthed bullshite on recession makes sense

No two economists could agree on almost anything before now. EXCEPT that a recession is two quarters of negative growth.

Now they can’t even do that much.

They are going to try and spin that we are in the greatest recovery ever for two years then claim Trump took advantage of Biden’s strong economy when he fixes things.

Similar to the Bill Clinton expy in Primary Colors saying “You’d have never found the phone there if I hadn’t tossed it out the window.”

The White House also says that Putin caused price hikes, Inflation is good, inflation is transitory, Jan 6 is worse than 9/11, and the economy is booming. They have through countless lies and factual inaccuracies proven to be a worthless point of information. If they were a newspaper, they’ed be called as accurate as the National Inquirer.

Funny thing is that came from a business advisor email I follow - not really a partisan one.

Politics are bleeding into everything nowadays because people are feeling the pressure of the shite times. You can sense it.

and the stock market is rocketing up like we're on the verge of an economic explosion and/or interest rates are about to start falling. this must be some delusional/manipulative movement. maybe it's a Jedi mind trick

The Enquirer gets caught in fewer bold faces lies.

They have lawyers go over the story after getting their arse handed to them by Carol Burnett after they directly accused her of being sloppy drunk in public.

Depends what the definition of "is" is.

Lying of the Dems has reached new highs worse than the Russian PRAVDA propaganda.

This is just the beginning.

Folks are cutting back on their spending and this will cause layoffs to occur. The unemployment rate will go up and there is no way they can lie themselves out of it.
At my local IGA grocer he has run of the mill Clausen pickles for $4.99 a jar. That jar stays on the shelf at the store.
Just the beginning.

During Trump’s presidency the media were heralding A looming recession if there was even a slight contraction of the booming prior quarter’s growth. Now they just carry water like the Biden Praetorian Army they are,

The one data point I have rarely heard about is the employment participation rate.

I know it’s difficult to image, but stay with me here:

Imagine Trump as president with negative growth for 2 quarters in a row.

Would the media and “experts” be falling all over themselves to justify why this isn’t a recession?

I know, I know. Of course they would. They’re honest. Silly me.
