This is a good point about AOC and the 2028 Democratic nomination

I’m going to summarize AOC’s week so you can finally understand why she’s currently the Democrat front runner for 2028:

1. She filmed herself injecting fertility hormones and announced she’s freezing her eggs.

2. She casually declared “Woke 1 was crazy.” You should view this as a clean, public break from the brand that made her famous. She’s signaling growth and maturity by distancing herself from Wokeness. And she’s doing it without fully abandoning her tribe.

3. She allegedly split from her fiancé.

4. She’s a career woman in her mid-30s. She’s modeling the timelines, trade-offs, and biological realities that define the millions of women in her generation.

This alone is a winning combination on the Left and resonates with most women.

They want validation that their path—delayed family, career first, personal autonomy, anxiety about the biological clock—is seen and heard.

This week, tens of millions of women in their 20-50s looked at AOC and saw themselves.

No other prominent female Democrat currently occupies that lane and has her cultural reach

She knows how to get attention, has media fluency, and is authentic.

She’s representing the modern woman.

You’re looking at the current 2028 Democrat nominee.

Modern women are now wrecked with guilt. By the time AOC ignorantly decides to run, the definition of "modern" woman will have changed considerably.

Everything else I agree with. It's the only reason she made sure to announce the nonsense with the eggs is to resonate with other women. Look, she's just like you!

I agree with everything but this. There is nothing authentic about her. She is completely manufactured and fake. If she were subjected to a real interview with difficult questions she would be revealed as the cutout she is. She’s a pretty convincing actress playing a part. And I say that while also acknowledging she has a legit chance to be elected to higher office.

That depends. The left is looking for an outside populist lane to rip the carpet out from under what's left of MAGA. Can AOC present as sympathetic to low paid younger voters? To an extent, yes. But can she lure the working class vote? Trump succeeded on that and turning out that vote remains important. I doubt the left will touch the war much beyond being anti-Israeli, so she's already on point with that. Don't think you sway many votes, there. The republicans are doubling down on AI and data center construction and I fully expect to see the left pull that out as a talking point more in the future. Again, AOC will appeal to youth here. Middle aged workers? Not so much.

She's an understandable candidate, but not a strong one and I don't really see a strong candidate that has shown up for the left to date. If they had any sense, they'd try and pull a Tulsi, RFK or Fetterman to at least feign a push towards what's considered the middle now, but they seem to be betting on some degree of socialist. If this Iran war continues or escalates, that may be a winning strategy, but it's hard to see AOC being a formidable candidate, otherwise.

With lefty women...who were already voting left.

Dems have an absolutely terrible habit of spiraling inward and spending all of their efforts appealing to the same people they've already won. They're anything but a "big tent" coalition.

Its women, LBGTQ, and blacks all the way.

Fun Fact: 9 years ago, AOC said the planet would cease to exist in 12 years if we didn't pass the Green New Deal. Today, with only 3 years until total global annihilation, she is moving on from her long-time fiancé and freezing her eggs. Weird.

It’s still a small minority of people she’s going after. She’ll get run out of the polls with that strategy nationwide.

Could be!

But I think the Dems will run an attractive male of some sort.

What is a modern woman?

In this context? A woman who pursues higher education and career ambitions in spite of traditional gender roles and meaningful relationships. She pisses away her prime years being a promiscuous, judgmental, city bitch leftist who loathes "the patriarchy", American values, and anything she deems "trad". As she enters her early thirties, she finds herself alone and depressed. She sets her sights on a man that shares her values and isn't intimidated by her "success" and her "strong personality". Except these men don't excite her. Deep down, she wants some toxic 6'4" Chad pulling down a million per year, per those men are too busy banging 22 year olds to notice her. She freezes her eggs... she even kicks around the idea of adopting a black baby (how chic!)... but she holds out for something real. Slowly, she wastes away, blaming "the system" and "weak men" for her troubles. She doubles down on every bad idea she's ever had because, of course, women NEVER admit they were wrong. Eventually she grows old and draws her last ragged breath... with no one to notice or care but the 12 house cats who wont be getting fed that evening.

An empty phrase designed to impress shallow thinkers, thus it's perfect for the AWFL crowd.

I disagree. I don't believe the majority of women voters in this nation will vote for AOC.

aside from being a somewhat articulate attractive woman, she is the carbon copy of my sister, 10 years younger.

i love my sister, but she doesn't need to be running your local Dairy Queen, nonetheless a country.
