I think it would be political suicide for AOC to run in 2028 while still a House Rep. There is a rich history of popular house reps making a presidential run and it ending their career. Maybe she'll run for both but that is a bad look.

I think she may be setting herself up to take Schumer's senate seat assuming he announces a retirement in 2027. However that senate seat would be her real launching point for 2032. She'd be off-cycle in that senate seat during the presidential election cycle.

I assume she split from her long-time fiance because they started doing opposition research on her and her other close relations to find lead weights for a major campaign run. Something must have come up that was unsavory and it was bad enough that she split with him.

I do agree she's doing all the things a Democrat does to test the waters on a campaign run. She recently spoke at Warnock's church as a "play test" on her ability to express some hand-wavy religiosity and appeal to more social conservative but otherwise liberal black voters.

However I think she's being played out of a job by the centrist blob of the Democratic Party.

I tend to agree with you. However, there will be millions of women who vote for her just for nothing more than the novelty of electing a female president.

Kamala Harris got 75MM votes.

Wouldn't be the least bit surprised

She would be infinitely better than Kopmala, Brandon, Newscum, or Buttgigem. Of course that's a very low bar.

She's not a viable candidate for the Presidency. You know who hates women the most? Other women. She'll resonate with some, sure, but the more they push a pretty woman to the forefront the more women will turn on her.

I'm still not buying that she runs. She's built her career on social media and going on news shows that will never challenge her. That would change if she runs for president. She knows she's not built for that. See her interviews in Munich

I think Trump's success has been precisely because they go directly to the voters with social media and don't let the media control the narrative.

AOC's advantage is precisely because she is savvy in this respect. I think you underrate that the big media consensus definitely is not pro socialism. They operate on the essential aspects of market economies. A more robust administrative state is a threat for them. She has to deal with bad faith jabs from the right wing of the Democratic Party when she goes on national media. This would only get worse. Look how much MSNBC hacks were melting in 2020 when Bernie Sanders had early primary success.

People act like AOC is not a viable candidate. You guys are NOT paying attention.

You have Hong who is an outright communist challenging results due to her losing by .5%.

point 5 %

Wake up and get active. Or you are 100% going to lose this nation.

IIRC I watched a little documentary about her, some dem group put up flyers about people wanting to kinda audition to become a representative, her brother signed her up and out of hundreds or thousands of people they picked AOC and started putting money behind her. So she literally was a creation of a dem pac

Hopefully. Then it won't matter if the GOP nominee is Vance or Rubio.

If it's really between her and Gavin, she's clearly the stronger candidate. But they will still get hosed in every red and purple state.

Most is a stretch. Most on the left, sure. Middle/right? Not much at all. Very little.

Yet she was such a spoiled brat she didn't know what a kitchen disposal was. Her servants did all that.
