Such a weird stance. The Republican party seems to keep starting endless wars in the past 20 years. Due to the war and tariffs, inflation and gas prices are up.
People are sick of it. This isn't unfortunate timing that can sometimes happen with a presidency where the economy just goes a little bad and doesn't really have a direct reason from policy.
There is a straight line from gas prices and other shipped goods to the war in Iran. A straight line from tarrifs to higher prices.
Even the immigration issue has been bungled by Trump. I think most agreed that the Biden administration went too far in not protecting the border enough. But the answer to that wasn't to get a bunch of unqualified masked men to start rounding up people in our country who they suspect to be here illegally. You may be for that, but the vast number of Americans are against it and more for a more reasonable policy.

The country will be officially over when they pack the court and they have a dem potus - likely 2029. Every perverted warped interpretation will be applied the the constitution to the point where it is no longer recognizable

They voted out the people who claimed they would make it better, then made it worse.

People want to blame Trump as if Trump's narcissism or mean tweets caused people to stay home...
People revolted because Trump abandoned everything he ran on and instead rammed the same neocon bullcrap down our throats. We thought we were voting against that in 2016 but Trump became the champion of it.

You say this but don't have the self awareness to realize that Trump made the choice (with your support) that directly led to a lot less affordability. You can't sit there and throw stones in the glass house you are standing in.

This line of thinking is how we got in this mess to begin with. If a party wants to hold power, then they need to do things for the betterment of the American people. Trump ran on 2 main platforms. The first was a stronger border and the 2nd is affordability. He has failed miserable on both issues. He does not deserve peoples support, and certainly by looking at how his candidates performed he did not get it.

I have tried to explain this to my 2 kids, 27 & 25, but they just don't get it! They have no idea how hard we worked, how much we didn't indulge ourselves, and lived BELOW our means.
They think they should be as comfortable as me and my husband in our 50's in their 20's. They have no idea how we lived in our 20's, rented older apartments without super pools, game rooms, etc. We didn't get new cars every 4-5 years, we drove them until the wheels fell off, we didn't eat out all the time, going out was a special event reserved for special occasions. We took our lunches to work, didn't have a delivery service bring us our lunches and meals.
It's a mind set. My husband will still go pick up our pizza rather than pay the delivery fee just because.

Words DO have meaning. And if you think systems such as Communism -- which murdered millions and strips individuals of freedom -- are meaningless, then you are Exhibit A for why this country is headed in the direction it apparently is headed in.
