I would agree with you on this. Cannot see the evidentiary value overall of this.
Seeeee, Trump is a scummy dude. HE talks about grabbing pussy?
SO WHAT? If this were a rape trial this might be pertinent. This though is a trial where the subject did not mind giving up the pussy. He did not grab it, and she does not allege it either. So maybe they are people with questionable morals, but both admittedly consented.
The evidence is probably prejudicial. Would have to see the ruling and the prosecution's rationale. Seems unrelated to this case.

The tape isn't coming in. The linked article is wrong.
The prosecution theory is that Trump paid the hush money and used campaign funds to do it because the Access Hollywood tape and the women accusing him of sexual assault were hurting his campaign.
The Judge decided the prosecution can show tapes of Trump campaign appearances where Trump himself references these issues, but not any other evidence about it.
